What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

HILL, BRASTED (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Westerham Cycling Club Event

Kent County Council has made an Order for the safety of the public whilst an event is being held on the highway to temporarily prohibit the use of Vehicles on:-

Brasted Hill, Brasted between The Nower and Pilgrims Way.

The alternative route is via The Nower, Hogtrough Hill, Pilgrims Way and vice versa.

The Order will become effective on 22 September 2024 between 10.00hrs and 11.00hrs. The restrictions/prohibitions specified in this notice will apply only during such times and to such extent as indicated by traffic signs in operation.Nothing in the Order will apply to:

• Any Vehicle being used for Ambulance purposes, Coastguard/RNLI, Fire Brigade or Police services.

• Anything done by a Statutory Undertaker vehicle in connection with an emergency repair.

• Anything done with the permission or at the direction of Event Organisers or a Police Constable in Uniform.

CHURCH ROAD, CROCKENHILL, BR8 8LH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of UK Power Networks works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Church Road, Crockenhill, on or after 30th September 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the junction with Barnfield Close.

The alternative route is via Church Road, Tylers Green Road, Old Chapel Road, B258 Cray Road, Main Road and vice versa.

HALE OAK ROAD, SEVENOAKS WEALD, TN14 6NG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of South East Water works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Hale Oak Road, Sevenoaks Weald, on or after 17th September 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside The Lodge, Moorcroft Farm.

The alternative route is via Hale Oak Road, Bowzell Road, Bowzell Green, Baileys Hill Road, Bore Place Road, B2027 Tonbridge Road, Hale Oak Road and vice versa.

MAPLESCOMBE LANE, FARNINGHAM, DA4 0JZ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Maplescombe Lane, Farningham, on or after 1st October 2024 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Botsom Lane and Donkey Lane.

The alternative route is via Botsom Lane, A20 London Road/Gorse Hill, A225 Eynsford Road, Beesfield Lane, Maplescombe Lane and vice versa.

PEASE HILL, ASH, TN15 7ER (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of the installation of a new electricity supply, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Pease Hill, Ash, on or after 2nd October 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Threeways.

The alternative route is via Pease Hill, Hartley Bottom Road, North Ash Road, Redhill Road, Ash Road, The Street and vice versa.

PENSHURST LANE/ROAD, LEIGH, TN11 8HP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of Openreach pole replacements, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Penshurst Road, Lane/Leigh, on or after 19th September 2024 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.00hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between B2027 Penshurst Road and Cinder Hill Lane.

The alternative route is via Penshurst Road, B2176 Station Hill, B2176 Moorden Lane, B2027 Tonbridge Road, Penshurst Lane and vice versa.

SUNDRIDGE ROAD, IDE HILL, TN14 6JU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Sundridge Road, Ide Hill, on or after 2nd October 2024 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside 4 Great Norman Street Cottages.

The alternative route is via Ide Hill Roundabout to B2042 Wheatsheaf Hill/Goathurst Common/Cold Arbor Road, A25 Westerham Road/Main Road, Church Road, Ide Hill Road and vice versa.
