Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight Council in not less than seven days from the appearance of this Notice, under Section 14 (1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the following Orders: -The Isle of Wight Council (Orchard Street, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Bus Stand Closure) Order No 1 2024
Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one shift, between Friday 13 September 2024, and Thursday 19 September 2024 or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed through the bus stand outside of the Lord Louis Library (number 9 bus stand) located between Orchard Street Car Park and Bowling Green Lane. The bus stand closure is required for safety during carriageway repair works.
The Isle of Wight Council (Long Lane, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 6 2024
Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one shift, between Monday 16 September 2024, and Wednesday 18 September 2024 or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Long Lane, Newport, from its junction with Durton Lane, and its junction with Standen Heath access road. Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one shift, between Wednesday 18 September 2024, and Friday 20 September 2024 or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Lea Road, Lake, for its entire length. Access will be maintained were safe to do so. The closure is required for safety during carriageway repair works.
The Isle of Wight Council (Cadets Walk, East Cowes, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restriction) Order No 1 2024
lsland Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one shift, on Friday 20 September 2024 or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Cadets Walk, East Cowes, from its junction with Farm Lane the end of the carriageway to the east, outside number 22 (approximately 140 metres).

The Isle of Wight Council (Longwood Lane, Lake, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 5 2024
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0900 hours on Monday 16 September 2024 until 1700 hours on Wednesday 18 September, or when the works has been completed, Longwood Lane will be closed between its junctions with Sandown and Shanklin Bridleway 47 and Cycle Track from Sandown to Newport. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required whilst a mobile crane is in situ.
Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between Friday 13 September 2024 and Friday 25 October 2024 the following roads will be closed between either 0600 and 1800 hours or between 1800 and 0600 hours for a period of approximately one to 5 days within this period, or when the works have been completed, to enable carriageway resurfacing and lining works to be undertaken. No vehicle or person may use or cause any animal to use the following roads: and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road were indicated by traffic signs. These works may include carriageway and footway reconstruction, resurfacing works, reflective stud work and lining works. In some cases, it may be necessary to close these sections of roads on more than one occasion within this timeframe. Exact dates, durations and access information will be communicated to affected businesses and residents via letter and on street advanced warning signs before the scheme commences.
