What is happening?

THE BOROUGH COUNCIL OF GATESHEAD (BEACON LOUGH ESTATE - FOOTPATH CLOSURES) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2024

Notice is hereby given that on 04 September 2024 the Borough Council of Gateshead made an Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit pedestrians from proceeding along the footpaths as set out in the Schedule below. The Order is required to facilitate works being undertaken by Northen Gas Networks. The Order will come into force on 09 September 2024.

The maximum duration of the Order will be 6 months; however, the works are expected to be completed by 06 December 2024.

During the works all pedestrians (except operatives involved with the works and emergency services operatives on duty) will be prohibited from proceeding along the footpaths described in the Schedule below until the works are completed or at such times and to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the display of traffic signs. During the prohibition there will be a signed diversion in place.

Lingcrest

from No. 5 in a northerly direction for 27 metres, then an easterly direction for

23 metres and then a southerly direction for 32 metres.

Fernlough

Nos. 1 to 18 / Lingcrest Nos. 21 to

36 from its junction with Lingcrest in an easterly direction for 56 metres;

36 from No.31 in an easterly direction for 18 metres;

from No. 41 (rear) in an easterly direction for 7 metres, then a northerly direction for 55 metres and then a westerly direction for 7 metres;

Nos. 39 to 43 from its junction with Fernlough in an easterly direction for 36 metres;

Nos. 27 to 38 / Gorsehill Nos. 1 to 19 from its junction with Fernlough Nos. 39 to 43 in a north easterly direction for 30 metres.

Gorsehill

from its junction with Nos. 2 to 82 in a westerly direction for 75 metres then a southerly direction for 17 metres;

Nos. 39 to 45 / Stonecrop Nos. 2 to 6 Garage Access for its entire length.

Stonecrop

Nos. 1 to 25 for its entire length; Nos. 26 to 45 from a point 20 metres east of its junction with Gorsehill in a

southerly direction for 34 metres, then an easterly direction for 12 metres and then a northerly direction for 36 metres.

Heatherlaw

Nos. 1 to 6 / Stonecrop Nos. 32 to 37 for its entire length;

Nos. 1 to 23 from its intersection with Nos. 4 to 16 in a northerly direction for 3 metres;

Nos. 4 to 16 from its boundary at No. 28 in a northerly direction for 10 metres (both sides).

Coltsfoot Gardens
