What is happening?

Highways

Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

DARTFORD AREA

B255 SOUTHFLEET ROAD, BEAN, DA2 8BS (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of Carriageway repairs, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of B255 Southfleet Road, Bean, on or after 19th September 2024 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the national speed limit signs to the sewage pumping station.

The alternative route is via B255 Southfleet Road/High Street/Ashwood Place/Bean Lane, Watling Street Roundabout, A296 Watling Street/Princes Road, B260 Green Street Green Road, B262 Sandbanks Hill and vice versa.

CEDAR ROAD, DARTFORD, DA1 2SP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of the reconstruction of a slabbed footway, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on Cedar Road, Dartford, on or after 30th September 2024 for up to 68 days between 08.30hrs and 16.30hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed for the entire length.

The alternative route is via Elm Road, Hazel Road, Oakfield Lane and vice versa.

HAROLD ROAD, HAWLEY, DA2 7SH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024

Because of UK Power Networks works, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Harold Road, Hawley, on or after 16th September 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 27.

The alternative route is via Harold Road, Saxon Road, Alfred Road, Shirehall Road and vice versa.
