Cumberland, Temporary Traffic Regulation Due To Utility Works
What is happening?
CUMBERLAND COUNCIL (U2066 NEAR WIGTON, C1014 BUCKABANK, DALSTON AND C1025 BLACKPOOL GATE, NEAR ROADHEAD) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out ("the Works"), Cumberland Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the following sections of road:
1. U2066 near Wigton, from its junction with the U2068, extending in a south westerly direction for approx. 130m.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the U2066, A595, B5305 Syke Road, B5304 and B5302.
Duration: From 13 September 2024 for approx. 1 day between 0830 and 1530 hours (Ref TTROC/11861)
2. C1014 Buckabank, Dalston, from its junction with the C1017, extending in a south westerly direction for approx. 200m.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the C1014, B5299 Dalston Road, Junction Street, Charlotte Street, James Street, Currock Street, Currock Road, Blackwell Road and Durdar Road.
Duration: From 25 September 2024 for approx. 1 day between 0830 and 1530 hours (Ref: TTROC/11825)
3. C1025 Blackpool Gate, near Roadhead, from its junction with the U1031, extending in an overall south westerly direction for approx. 110m.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted section of the C1025, U1031, U1032, U1034 and U1035.
Duration: From 30 September 2024 for approx. 1 day between 0830 and 1530 hours (Ref: TTROC/11817)
A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.

The Order will come into operation on 13 September 2024 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as detailed above, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
