Carrmyers, Temporary Road Closure Due To Water Works
What is happening?
The County Council of Durham (Carrmyers, Harelaw, Stanley) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2024
The Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 as amended, Section 14 (1) to prohibit all vehicular traffic from proceeding on a 105 metre length of Carrmyers, Harelaw, Stanley from the junction with the B6168 North Road at western side of closure in an easterly direction to the front of Numbers 16 & 26 Carrmyers to enable new water main connection works to be undertaken.
Throughout the period of closure, no alternative diversion will be available to vehicular traffic.
The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence at 8 am on 23/9/2024 and are anticipated to be completed in 6 weeks. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
