Nightingale Road (D4006) Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 04 September 2024 Surrey County Council made the abovementioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be (a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Nightingale Road (D4006) Guildford which extends from its junction with Park Chase (X4006) to the southeastern property boundary line of “40 Nightingale Road”; (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Nightingale Road (D4006) Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (2) 2023” in its entirety. Alternative Route – Nightingale Road (D4006), Stoke Road (A320), Parkway (A25) and London Road (A3100). This Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out telecom works, which is anticipated to be completed within 1 day, between 8:30am and 3:30pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 10 September 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.
Summer Road (C160) Thames Ditton Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 04 September 2024 Surrey County Council made the abovementioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Summer Road (C160) Thames Ditton which extends from its junction with Hampton Court Way (A309) to its junction with Warwick Gardens (D6963). Alternative Route – Summer Road (C160), High Street (C160), St Leonards Road (C161), Portsmouth Road (A307), High Street (A307), Horse Fair, Hampton Court Way (A308) and Hampton Court Way (A309). This Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out telecom works, which is anticipated to be completed within: (a) 2 nights, the work will start on 10 September 2024 between 8:00pm and 5:00am; (b) 1 day, the work will start on 13 October 2024 between 8:00am and 4:00pm during the 12 month period of operation of this Order. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.
D6306 Brooklands Close, Sunbury On Thames Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 04 September 2024 Surrey County Council made the abovementioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D6306 Brooklands Close, Sunbury On Thames that extends from its junction with A244 Windmill Road, to the north-eastern property boundary of “No.6 Brooklands Close”. This Traffic Order is required to enable Aztec Construction Limited and/or MCRAIL RMC Construction Limited/Building and Civil Engineering and/or Morrison Water Services to carry out water mains and/or sewer connection and/or disconnection and/or maintenance works, and/or associated remedial works to the highway in the length of D6306 Brooklands Close, Sunbury On Thames that extends outside “Dimension Data House”. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 6pm, within 3 weeks of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 07 September 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians, and dismounted cyclists and equestrians, will be maintained at all times. Access for emergency services, residents and businesses will be maintained via the vehicular diversion route:- Windmill Road, Windmill Road West and Brooklands Close.
Westcar Lane (C156) Hersham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 04 September 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Westcar Lane (C156) Hersham as extends from a point in line with the common boundary between No.3a and No.5 Westcar Lane to a point in line with the common boundary between No.5 and No.7 Westcar Lane. Alternative Route: (A317) Queens Road, (A317) Hersham By-pass, (A244) Hersham By-pass, Molesey Road, Burwood Road, and Westcar Lane, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to carry out water utility works for, or on behalf of Affinity Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days, between 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 18 September 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Due to the nature of the works, it will not be possible to maintain vehicular access through the closure, and all vehicular traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.
Goose Rye Road (D53) Worplesdon Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 04 September 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of Goose Rye Road (D53) Worplesdon. Alternative Route: (A322) Rickford, (A322) Worplesdon Road, and The Avenue, or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate water utility works for, or on behalf of Affinity Water. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 4 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 17 September 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
Wick Lane (D3112) Englefield Green Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.1) 2024
On 04 September 2024 Surrey County Council made the abovementioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Wick Lane (D3112) Englefield Green as extends from its junction with (D3113) Kings Lane to its junction with the access to the property known as “South Gates”, and; (b) Wick Lane (D3112) Englefield Green as extends from its junction with the access to the property known as “The Savill Garden Coach Park” and for a distance of 15 metres in a southerly direction along Wick Lane; (c) suspend “The Surrey County Council Wick Lane (D3112) Englefield Green Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.3) 2023” insofar as it affects that length of road specified in Part (a) and (b) of this Notice. This Order is required to facilitate water utility works for, or on behalf of Affinity Water. For part (a) these works are anticipated to be carried out within 4 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm; and for part (b) these works are anticipated to be carried out over 2 days, between the hours of 9.30am and 4pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 16 September 2024. For part (1) and (2): Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Due to the nature of the works, it will not be possible to maintain vehicular access through the closure, and all vehicular traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route. Various in Runnymede Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2024
On 4 September 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to:- (a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in part 1 of the Schedule to this Notice; (b) prohibit all traffic (including pedestrians and cyclists) from entering or proceeding in parts 2, 3 and 4 of the Schedule to this Notice. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate carriageway surfacing, footway slurry and/or major maintenance works which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 18 September 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. For sub-paragraph (a) above: Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. D3883 Brooklands Lane, Weybridge Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D3883 Brooklands Lane, Weybridge that extends from the western side of its junction with the access road for “Weybridge Cemetery”, south-westwards for a distance of 100m. This Traffic Order is required to enable Affinity Water to carry out water works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 9:30am and 4pm within 2 days of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 24 September 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. There is no applicable alternative route however access for emergency vehicles, residents, businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times by means of road plates.
D3889 Pine Grove, Weybridge Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D3889 Pine Grove, Weybridge that extends from the eastern side of its junction with D3889 Dresden Way, to the western side of its junction with D3890 Daneswood Close. This Traffic Order is required to enable Southern Gas Networks to carry out essential gas works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 4pm, within 7 days of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 24 September 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Access for emergency vehicles, residents and businesses will be maintained at all times via the alternative route: - Pine Grove, Princes Road, Hanger Hill and Pine Grove.
A246 York Road, Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of A246 York Road, Guildford. This Traffic Order is required to enable carriageway reinstatement and/or connection and/or maintenance works on behalf of Thames Water in A246 York Road from the western side of its junction with Station Approach for 30m westwards. These works are anticipated to be carried out within 2 days of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 27 September 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Broomfield (D4000) Guildford which extends from its junction with Pond Meadow (D4000) to its junction with Cabell Road (D4000).
Alternative Route – Broomfield (D4000), Pond Meadow (D4000), Stoney Brook (D4000), Cabell Road (D4000) and Broomfield (D4000) or the same route in reverse.

This Order is required to facilitate replacement telegraph pole works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 2 days, between 9am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 03 October 2024. Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit pedestrians and/or other traffic proceeding on foot or by any means from entering or proceeding in that length of Townpath from Harts Gardens to Worplesdon Road (T7039) Guildford, otherwise known as Public Footpath No.1 (Guildford), which extends from its junction with Grange Road westwards to its junction with the un-named path leading to D4023 Little Street. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate footway slurry works which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 6 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 23 September 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. No sole means of access to any premises will be affected. Pedestrians can use the path linking Little Street and T7039 whilst the works are taking place.

The Surrey County Council Rights of Way Definitive Map and Statement
Public Footpath No. 422 (Woking) Definitive Map Modification Order 2019
On 29 August 2024, Surrey County Council confirmed the above named Order. The Order as confirmed modifies the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by adding a footpath from Pyrford Common, 37m north of Pyrford Common Road (Grid ref 503591 158930) in a generally north easterly direction for 535m to Upshot Lane by The Arbor Centre (Grid ref 503931 159230).
A copy of the Order and Order map may be seen free of charge at the Countryside Access Office, Surrey County Council, Merrow Depot, Merrow Lane, Guildford GU4 7BQ (by appointment Tel 0300 2001003), at Woking Borough Council, Civic Offices, Gloucester Square, Woking GU21 6YL, and at West Byfleet Library, The Old Sorting Office, Rosemount Avenue, KT14 6LB during opening hours. The Definitive Map Modification Order came into force on 29 August 2024. If a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity or that of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may under paragraph 12 of Schedule 15 of the Act within six weeks of 6 September 2024 make an application to the High Court.
Public Footpaths 52 & 53 (Egham) Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic Order 2024
On 29 August 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned temporary order, the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic on foot or by any other means from entering or proceeding along Footpath 52 from Rosemary Lane at Grid Reference 501830 168674 in a westerly direction to Footpath 53 at Grid Reference 501657 168692, and Footpath 53 from Rosemary Lane at Grid Reference 501697 168823 in a southerly direction to Grid Reference 501653 168685.
The Order is necessary in order to allow for the development of 24 residential dwellings for which planning permission has been granted (RU22/0682) The closure will be in operation for a period of six months from Friday 6 September 2024 or until completion of the works, if earlier. That period can be extended by the Secretary of State for Transport if required.
The prohibition described above will only be operative while the County Council, or an authorised person acting on its behalf, displays signs prohibiting the said movements. No access to properties will be affected by the temporary closure.
The alternative route for traffic from the eastern end of Footpath 52 will be: proceed in a southerly direction for 92m then in a north westerly direction for 263m through the Frank Muir Playing Field.
The Alternative route from traffic from the northern end of Footpath 53 will be: proceed south east then south along Rosemary Lane for 314m, the in a north westerly direction for 263m through the Frank Muir Playing Field.
The alternative routes for traffic from the western end of Footpath 52 and from the southern end of Footpath 53 will be the reverse of the routes described above.
‘The Surrey County Council Public Footpaths 52 & 53 (Egham) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024’ was made by the County Council under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
