Cumberland, Multiple Roads, Temporary Traffic Restrictions Due To Utility Works

What is happening?

CUMBERLAND COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS IN THE CUMBERLAND COUNCIL AREA) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) (NO.3A) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out ("the Works"), Cumberland Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the lengths of road specified in the attached Schedule.

Suitable diversion routes will be indicated on site by the display of relevant traffic signs as and when the temporary closures are in force. A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.

The Order will come into operation on 12 September 2024 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required for as stated in the schedule and only as and when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. SCHEDULE

EXTENT OF RESTRICTIONS AND ALTERNATIVE ROUTES

1. C2030 Ullock - from 12 September 2024 for approx. 2 days (Ref: TTROC/11598)

From its junction with the C4006, extending in a westerly direction for approx 390m.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the C2030, Branthwaite, C2031, C2054 and the A5086 Crossgates.

2. U2200 Lorton - from 23 September 2024 for approx. 2 days (Ref: TTROC/11871)

From a point approx 1.3km southeast from its junction with the U2201, extending in a south easterly direction for approx 180m.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the U2200, U2199, B5289 Low Lorton, B5292, C2027 and the U2201.

3. U2212 Loweswater - from 23 September 2024 for approx. 2 days (Ref: TTROC/11873)

From a point approx. 100m north of the property known as 'Lowpark Cottage', extending in a northerly direction for approx 60m.

There is no suitable alternative route available for vehicles.

4. U2200 Loweswater - from 24 September 2024 for approx. 2 days (Ref: TTROC/11881)

From a point approx 1.4km north of its junction with the C2030, extending in a northerly direction for approx 113m. Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the U2200, U2199 Low Lorton, B5289 and the C2030 Brackenthwaite.

5. C2031 Branthwaite - from 1 October 2024 for approx. 2 days (Ref: TTROC/11914)

From its junction with Wadsworth Park extending in an easterly direction for approx 150m. Alternative Route: via the C2030, C4006 Ullock, C2054 and the C2031.

6. Derwent Bank Seaton - from 1 October 2024 for approx. 2 days (Ref: TTROC/11922)

From a point outside No.20 Derwent Bank, extending in an overall south easterly direction for the entire length of the cul-de-sac.

There is no suitable alternative route available for vehicles.

7. Canning Street, Workington - from 2 October 2024 for approx. 2 days (Ref: TTROC/11923)

From its junction with Pilgrim Street to its junction with Harrington Road.

Alternative Route: via Harrington Road, Victoria Road and Pilgrim Street.

8. C2028 near Embleton - from 9 October 2024 for approx. 2 days (Ref: TTROC/11929)

From a point approx 88m southwest from of its junction with the A66, extending in a south westerly direction for approx 470m.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the C2028, Hundith Hill Road, B5292, Lorton Road, Victoria Road, Lorton Street, Station Road, Gallowbarrow, The Level, A5086 Lamplugh Road and the A66.

9. C2003 The Brow, near Crosby Villa - from 15 October 2024 for approx. 2 days (Ref: TTROC/12017)

From a point 490 m northwest of its junction with the C2023 extending in a north westerly direction for approx 240m.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the C2003 The Brow, C2003, A596, C2024 Gilcrux Road and the C2023 Gilcrux.

10. U4100 Crossgates - from 21 October 2024 for approx. 2 days (Ref: TTROC/12093)

From a point approx 150m southeast of its junction with the A5086, extending in a south easterly direction for approx 60m.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the U4100, C4022 and the A5086.

11. C2034 Isel - from 22 October 2024 for approx. 2 days (Ref: TTROC/12098)

From a point approx 250m north of its junction with the C2026, extending in a northerly direction for approx 175m. Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the C2034 and the C2035

12. C2032 Deanscales - from 24 October 2024 for approx. 2 days (Ref: TTROC/12123)

From its junction with the U2193 extending in a south westerly direction for approx 90m.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the C2032, U2194 and the A5086 and Kingsthorn Road.

13. Crosshow Road, Dearham - from 28 October 2024 for approx. 2 days (Ref: TTROC/12141)

From its junction with the A594 Maryport Road extending in a north easterly direction for approx 70m.

Alternative Route: via Crosshow Road, Main Street, Central Road and the A594 Maryport Road.
