Montgomerie Road - Temporary Prohibition of Loading and Waiting
What is happening?

Portsmouth City Council (Rainbow Nursery Scheme) (Temporary Road Closure) (Temporary Prohibition of Loading and Waiting) (No.120) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 9th September 2024 and the effect will be as follows:
A) TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE AND PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
MONTGOMERIE ROAD
From its junction with Victoria Road North for 20 metres.
Duration: 9th September 2024 to 27th September 2024
MARGATE ROAD
From its junction with Victoria Road North for 20 metres.
Duration: 23rd September 2024 to 27th September 2024
ST DAVID'S ROAD
From its junction with Victoria Road North for 20 metres.
Duration: 30th September 2024 to 4th October 2024
VICTORIA ROAD NORTH
From its junction with Montgomerie Road to Bailey's Road.
Duration: 25th September 2024 to 26th September 2024
VICTORIA ROAD NORTH (SOUTHBOUND)
At its junction with Bradford Junction Roundabout.
Duration: 25th September 2024 to 26th September 2024
B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate raised crossing, dropped kerb and footpath works.
C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
From 9th September 2024 to 18th October 2024 or completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Notwithstanding the above, works will take place in sections as notified by signage and letters to residents in advance of works taking place.
D) DIVERSION
Vehicles will be diverted from:
Montgomerie Road - St Andrews Road - Baileys Road.
Margate Road: Victoria Road North - Victoria Road South - Elm Grove - St Andrews Road - Margate Road.
St David's Road: Victoria Road North - Baileys Road - St Davids Road.
Bradford Junction Roundabout - Winston Churchill Avenue - Winston Churchill Avenue Roundabout - Winston Churchill Avenue - Lord Montgomery Way - Hampshire Terrace - Landport Terrace - Kings Road Roundabout - Kings Road - Elm Grove - Victoria Road North and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained around the works.
Cycles to follow vehicle diversion or dismount and follow pedestrian diversion around the works.
