(BIGGLESWADE: PART OF BRIDLEWAY 58)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Order made by Central Bedfordshire
Council on the 5 March 2024 the effect of which will be to prohibit any person proceeding on foot or on horseback or lead a horse or cycle along the length of part of Bridleway No 58, Biggleswade has been continued in force with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport until 5 March 2026.
This temporary closure is required to enable archaeology/construction works to take place in safety. The closure is expected to continue from 5 September 2024 until 4 March 2026.
There is no alternative route for bridleway users while the closure is in operation. Please use other public rights of way whilst the closure is in place.:

If the works are not completed within eighteen months the Order may be extended for a longer period with the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport.
