Various Roads - Temporary Closure For Carriageway Surface Dressing Works

(U301N BUCCLEUCH RD & QUEENSBERRY SQ) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER) ORDER 2024 

The Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily close the U301n outside No.7 Buccleuch Road, Sanquhar from 0900 to 2100 on 17/09/24. The closure is necessary to facilitate the installation of a fire hydrant. Alternative route available via Church Road, Station Road, Buccleuch Road and vice versa. Emergency access will be available if required. Pedestrian access will be maintained.

The Council hereby give notice under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 of their intention to temporarily close the following roads at the following locations:

C200n Marchfield Road, Dumfries
U562n Ash Grove, Heatthall, Dumfries
U239n Herries Avenue, Dumfries
U463n St Mary’s Street, Sanquhar

The closures are necessary in the interests of road safety to facilitate carriageway surface dressing works. The closures are planned to be undertaken during the period of 16th September 2024 to 18th October 2024, 9am to 5pm daily, and shall have effect only at such times as indicated by appropriate signs. Works will be carried out as part of a rolling closure, with road reopening as works progress.

Emergency Vehicle access will be maintained at all times. Vehicle and pedestrian access to properties within the closed section will be maintained where practicable. Affected properties will be letter dropped appropriately.
