WARWICKSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL  

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 Warwickshire County Council has made the following Temporary Traffic Orders:

BARFORD ROAD, BARFORD

Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.

Reason for Order: Works for bridge joint replacement.

Order Commences: 9 September 2024 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 16 September 2024 Access & Diversion: Barford Road, Banbury Road, Castle Bridge, Castle Hill, Jury Street, High Street, West Street,

Stratford Road, A46 Entry From A429 To Longbridge Roundabout W, A46 M40 J15 Roundabout, Warwick Bypass, A46 Exit From Longbridge Roundabout To A429 S, Warwick Road, Bridge Street, Church Street and vice versa.

CREWE LANE, KENILWORTH

Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.

Reason for Order: Works to install new BT poles for fibre cabling.

Order Commences: 10 September 2024 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 10 September 2024.

Access & Diversion: Crewe Lane, Knowle Hill, Dalehouse Lane, Stoneleigh Road, Warwick Bypass, Ashow Road and vice versa.

HANWORTH ROAD, WARWICK

Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.

Reason for Order: New water connection from mains to customer connection point.

Order Commences: 10 September 2024 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 12 September 2024.

Access & Diversion: Hanworth Road and vice versa.

MAIN STREET, WAPPENBURY

Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic from a point opposite to Wappenbury Hall.

Reason for Order: To enable works for installation of a precast chamber and poly duct.

Order Commences: 9 September 2024 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 11 September 2024.

Access & Diversion: Main Street, Penns Lane, Fosse Way, Oxford Road, Leamington Road and vice versa.

PUBLIC FOOTPATHS W177 IN THE PARISH OF LEEK WOOTTON & GUYS CLIFFE

Order Effect: Footpath closed to ALL traffic at Grid Ref: SP29219-670740.

Reason for Order: To avoid the likelihood of danger to the public because of the dangerous condition of the bridge/ boardwalk.

Order Commences: 7 September

Access & Diversion: There is no alternative route.

Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic from a point outside property number 5.

Reason for Order: To enable works for a new electricity supply.

Order Commences: 18 September 2024 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 24 September 2024.

Access & Diversion: Diversion route will be signed.

CASE LANE, SHREWLEY

Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.

Reason for Order: To enable works for boundary box installation.

Order Commences: 23 September 2024 for up to 18 months. Anticipated Completion: 25 September 2024.

Access & Diversion: Case Lane, Five Ways Road, Quarry Lane and vice versa.

Contractor: For STW, GTM (Network Plus), Tel: 07435 540 278.

CHARLES STREET, WARWICK

Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic from a point outside property number 48.

Reason for Order: To enable new supply works.

Order Commences: 23 September 2024 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 27 September 2024.

Access & Diversion: Charles Street, Montague Road, George Road, All Saints Road and vice versa.

Contractor: For National Grid, NWP, Tel: 08081 642 252.

D7066 LEYES LANE, KENILWORTH

Order Effect: Road closed between Glasshouse Lane and Dencer Drive.

Reason for Order: Footway reconstruction works, closed 08.00hrs-17.00hrs.

Warwickshire County Council

Order Commences: 23 September 2024 for up to 18 months. Anticipated Completion: 26 September 2024.

Access & Diversion: Glasshouse Lane, Dencer Driver and vice versa. Access/Egress to be maintained where possible to businesses and residents only.

D4269 CONISTON ROAD, LEAMINGTON SPA

Order Effect: Road closed from Guy’s Cliffe Avenue.

Reason for Order: Footway reconstruction works, closed 09.00hrs-15.00hrs, weekdays.

Order Commences: 23 September 2024 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 4 October 2024.

Access & Diversion: No suitable diversion. Access/Egress to be maintained where possible to businesses and residents only. Access/Egress to/from Derwent Close may also be restricted whilst works are in progress.

HILL WOOTTON ROAD, LEEK WOOTTON

Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic.

Reason for Order: Sluice valve rebuild.

Order Commences: 24 September 2024 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 26 September 2024

Access & Diversion: Hill Wootton Road, Warwick Road, Coventry Road, Warwick Bypass, Ashow Road and vice versa.

Contractor: Chevron Traffic Management Ltd, Tel: 03300 080 820.

SWAN STREET, WARWICK

Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic, from a point outside the Age UK shop to its junction with Market Place. In addition, the One-Way traffic flow between High Street and the Age Uk shop will be temporarily suspended.

Reason for Order: To enable works for installation of a new water connection. Temporary suspended

Order Commences: 23 September 2024 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 25 September 2024.

Access & Diversion: High Street, Bowling Green Street, Puckerings Lane, Brook Street and vice versa.

THE BANK, LIGHTHORNE

Order Effect: Road closed to vehicular traffic. Reason for Order: To safely enable overhead reconductoring works.

Order Commences: 26 September 2024 for up to 18 months.

Anticipated Completion: 26 September 2024

Access & Diversion: The Bank, Church Lane, The Green, Chesterton Road and vice versa.

PUBLIC CYCLEWAY OLD WARWICK ROAD, LEAMINGTON SPA

Order Effect: Cycleway closed to all traffic.

Reason for Order: To enable works for a hydrant installation.

Order Commences: 22 September 2024 for up to 6 months.

Anticipated Completion: 22 September 2024.

Access & Diversion: Cyclist are requested to dismount.

Contractor: For STW, Chevron TM Ltd, Tel: 03300 080 820.

For all of the above temporary orders, pedestrian access to and egress from properties and land situated adjacent to the length of road to be closed will be maintained at all times. Vehicular access will be maintained where possible.

(WAITING RESTRICTIONS, ON STREET PARKING PLACES & RESIDENTS’ PARKING) (CONSOLIDATION)   (VARIATION NO. 13) ORDER 2024

Warwickshire County Council propose to make the abovenamed Order, pursuant to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to vary the existing Warwickshire County Council (District of Warwick) (Civil Enforcement Area) (Waiting Restrictions, On Street Parking Places & Residents’ Parking) (Consolidation) Order 2017 (as varied) as described in the Schedule below. A copy of the proposed Order, together with a copy of the Order to be varied, and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order, are available to view at Shire Hall, Market Place, Warwick, and online on the Council’s website at https://www.warwickshire.gov.uk/news/20210/warwick-district.
