Various Roads in Egham Hythe in the Borough of Runnymede (20 mph Speed Limit Zone) Order 2024
On 3 September 2024 Surrey County Council made the above named Order, under Section 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers, which will come into force on 9 September 2024. The effect of which will be to impose a 20 mph speed limit on the entire lengths of the roads in Egham Hythe (otherwise known as Staines-Upon-Thames) in the Borough of Runnymede specified in the Schedule to this Notice and signed as a zone. The speed limits proposed by this Order shall not apply to vehicles used by special forces in accordance with the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011. Copies of plans showing the lengths of roads to which the Order relates and a Statement of the Council’s reasons for making the Order, may be viewed on-line at www.surreycc.gov.uk/roads-andtransport/policies-plans-consultations/roads-and-transportconsultations (follow the link to Egham Hythe 20 mph Speed Limit Zone proposal).
