King Richard 1 Road - Temporary Road Closure
What is happening?

Portsmouth City Council (King Richard 1 Road) (Temporary Road Closure) (Temporary Prohibition of Loading and Waiting) (No.115) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that Portsmouth City Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991.
The Order comes into operation from 9th September 2024 and the effect will be as follows:
A) TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE AND PROHIBITION OF LOADING AND WAITING
King Richard I Road Access Road South Of James Watson Hall
In its entirety.
B) REASON FOR THE ORDER
To facilitate crane works to lift generators from roof area.
C) DURATION OF THE ORDER
On 9th September 2024 and 15th September 2024 or completion of the works, whichever is sooner. Notwithstanding the above, works will take place between 05:00 to 09:00.
D) DIVERSION
Vehicles will be diverted to King Richard 1 Road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained around the works.
Cycles to follow vehicle diversion or dismount and follow pedestrian diversion around the works.
