What is happening?

THE LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(PUBLIC FOOTPATHS FP1206008 & FP1206007 HABERGHAM EAVES, BURNLEY BOROUGH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024



NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lancashire County Council have made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is to prohibit temporarily all traffic from proceeding over the Public Footpaths indicated below:-
Public Footpath FP1206008 Habergham Eaves, Burnley, from Point B (SD 8269 – 3094) in a generally southerly direction for approximately 100 metres to Point C (SD 8261 – 3056).
Then continuing along Public Footpath FP1206007 Habergham Eaves, Burnley from Point C in a generally easterly direction for approximately 510 metres to Point D (SD 8283 – 3068).
The closure is necessary works are carried out on or near the footpaths.
Access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the footpaths, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from, the footpaths, will be maintained at all times.
Nothing in the order shall apply to emergency service vehicles or to those undertaking the works
The Order will be operative from the 4th September, 2024, for a period of 6 months or until the works are completed within this period.
