What is happening?

NOTICE OF PROPOSAL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(HARRY POTTS WAY, BURNLEY, BURNLEY BOROUGH) (ROAD HUMP AND PEDESTRIAN CROSSING)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council propose the following:
1. That in accordance with Section 90A of the Highways Act 1980, Lancashire County Council propose to introduce a road hump in Harry Potts Way, Burnley, from a point 31.7 metres west of its junction with Higgin Street for a distance of 18.4 metres in a westerly direction.
The road hump will have a maximum height not exceeding 75mm.
2. That in accordance with Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, Lancashire County Council propose to introduce a zebra crossing in Harry Potts Way, Burnley, from a point 33.4 metres west of its junction with Higgin Street for a distance of 15.7 metres in a westerly direction.
A copy of the relevant notice and plan indicating the location may be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of the Burnley Borough Council, Town Hall, Manchester Road, Burnley, BB11 9SA and at the offices of The Director of Law and Governance, Lancashire County Council, County Hall, Fishergate, Preston, PR1 8XJ, and on Lancashire County Councils Website http://www.lancashire.gov.uk/roads-parking-and-travel/roads/roadworks-and-traffic-regulation-orders/permanent.aspx. Any representations or objections (specifying the grounds on which they are made) relating to the proposal must be made in writing and should be sent to The Director of Law and Governance, Lancashire County Council, P O Box 100, County Hall, Preston PR1 0LD or by e-mail to tro-consultation@lancashire.gov.uk quoting ref:LSG4/894.19452/AFR before 04 October 2024.
