What is happening?

NOTICE OF PROPOSAL
HIGHWAYS ACT 1980
LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(HARRY POTTS WAY AND YORKSHIRE STREET AREA, BURNLEY, BURNLEY BOROUGH) (ROAD HUMPS)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that in accordance with Section 90A of the Highways Act 1980, Lancashire County Council propose the following:
1. Introduce speed humps in Harry Potts Way, Burnley, from a point 144 metres north west of its junction with Higgin Street, Burnley for a distance of 8.2 metres in a westerly direction.
The speed humps will have a maximum height not exceeding 75mm.
2. Introduce speed tables in the following locations:
2.a) Harry Potts Way, Burnley, from its junction with Higgin Street, for a distance of 8.2 metres in a westerly direction;
2.b) Harry Potts Way, Burnley, from a point 39.5 metres east of its junction with Belvedere Road/Todmorden Road, for a distance of 8.1 metres in an easterly direction;
2.c) Albert Street, Burnley, from its junction with Yorkshire Street, for a distance of 4.8 metres in a northerly direction;
2.d) Unnamed Road, Burnley, from its junction with Yorkshire Street, for a distance of 6 metres in a southerly direction;
2.e) Turf Street, Burnley, from its junction with Yorkshire Street, for a distance of 6.4 metres in a southerly direction;
2.f) Keirby Walk, Burnley, from its junction with Yorkshire Street, for a distance of 6.7 metres in a northerly direction.
The speed tables will have a maximum height not exceeding 75mm.
3. Introduce a junction table in the following locations:
3.a) Yorkshire Street, Burnley, from a point 4.5 metres east of its junction with Turf Street, for a distance of 37.3 metres in an easterly direction;
3.b) Eastham Place, Burnley, from its junction with Yorkshire Street for a distance of 5.2 metres in a northerly direction;
3.c) Plumbe Street, Burnley, from its junction with Yorkshire Street for a distance of 7.3 metres in a southerly direction.
The junction table will have a maximum height not exceeding 75mm.
A copy of the relevant notice and plan, indicating the proposal may be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of the Burnley Borough Council, Town Hall, Manchester Road, Burnley, BB11 9SA and at the offices of The Director of Law and Governance, Lancashire County Council, County Hall, Fishergate, Preston PR1 8XJ, and on Lancashire County Councils Website http://www.lancashire.gov.uk/roads-parking-and-travel/roads/roadworks-and-traffic-regulation-orders/permanent.aspx. Any representations or objections (specifying the grounds on which they are made) relating to the proposal must be made in writing and should be sent to The Director of Law and Governance, Lancashire County Council, P O Box 100, County Hall, Preston PR1 0LD or by e-mail to tro-consultation@lancashire.gov.uk quoting ref:LSG4/894.19453/AFR before 04 October 2024.
