ACCESS ROAD TO 101-211 PRINCE EDWARD RD, STH SHIELDS
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING ORDER 2024

Notice is hereby given that on 05/09/2024 South Tyneside Council made an Order under S.14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”) the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit driving on the following sections of road:- Access Rd to 101-211 Prince Edward Rd , Sth Shields from the side of 209/211 Prince Edward Rd to the rear of number 3, South Ave a distance of 28 m. The Order is required because
works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road, and in particular to enable Northern Powergrid to complete service replacement. The Order will come into force on the 05/09/2024. The maximum duration of the prohibition under this Order will be 18 mths however it is anticipated that the prohibition will only be needed from 09/09/2024 for 12 days. All vehicles except those engaged in the works, will be prohibited on the road described above for the duration of the works. The prohibition shall
only apply at such times and to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the display of traffic signs. During the prohibition, the alternative route will be via South Ave, West Ave, Prince Edward Rd, Access Rd To 101-211 Prince Edward Rd & vice versa.
