TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING ORDER 2024
Notice is hereby given that on 5th September 2024 South Tyneside Council made an Order under S.14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the Act”) the effect of which will be to
temporarily prohibit driving on the following sections of road:- Hutton St, Boldon Colliery, from a point 93 mtrs from its junction with Cotswold Lane, in a westerly direction, for a distance of 35 mtrs. The Order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road, and in particular to enable Elev8 to install a new telecommunications pole. The
Order will come into force on the 05/09/2024. The maximum duration of the prohibition under this Order will be 18 mths however it is anticipated that the prohibition will only be needed from 09/09/2024 for 14 days. All vehicles except those engaged in the works, will be prohibited on the road described above for the duration of the works. The prohibition shall only apply at such times and to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the display of traffic signs. During the prohibition, there is no alternative route for vehicular traffic. Dated: 5th September 2024,
