What is happening?
HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 TEMPORARY CLOSING OF FOOTPATH THERFIELD 9
NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council intend to make an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit pedestrians from using that length of Footpath Therfield 9, heading south from Baldock Road, for an approximate distance of 200m. Alternative Route: via Therfield 6, 7 and 9. The purpose of the Order is to enable utilities works to take place. The section of Footpath Therfield 9 will be closed on or after 13 September 2024 for up to 6 months, when signs are in place. TEMPORARY CLOSING OF FOOTPATH THERFIELD 17
NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council have
made an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit pedestrians from using that
length of Footpath Therfield 17, heading south and west from
junction with Therfield 18 to junction with Therfield 5, for an
approximate distance of 120m.
Alternative route: via Therfield 14 and Therfield 18
The purpose of the Order is to enable repair works to take place.
The section of Footpath will be closed on or after 06 September
2024 for up to 6 months, when signs are in place.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF SMITHS END LANE, BARLEY) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Smiths End Lane, Barley from its junction with Bogmoor Lane north westwards, south westwards and north westwards for a distance of approximately 595m ("the Road"), except for access. An alternative route will be via Bogmoor Lane, Shaftenhoe End Road, Church End, B1368 London Road and Smiths End Lane. The Order is needed because tree cutting and the replacement of an existing utility pole are proposed to be executed near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 27 September 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of A505 Royston Road, Wallington/Slip End and A505 Baldock Road, Therfield, from a point 1877m north east of its junction with B656 Royston Bypass Interchange with Wallington north eastwards to its junction with A505 Royston Bypass roundabout, a distance of approximately 7450m ("the Road"), except for access. An alternative route will be via A505 Baldock Bypass, A1(M), A602 (Broadhall Way/Hooks Cross/Watton at Stone Bypass/Ware Road/ Tonwell Bypass/Westmill Road), A10 (unnamed road/Wadesmill Bypass/Puckeridge Bypass/unnamed road/Buntingford Bypass/ unnamed road/Ermine Street/London Road/Market Hill/Priory Lane/Melbourn Road) and A505 Royston Bypass, or via A505 Royston Bypass, A10 (Melbourn Road/Priory Lane/Barkway Street/ London Road/Ermine Street/unnamed road/Buntingford Bypass/ unnamed road/Puckeridge Bypass/Wadesmill Bypass/unnamed road), A602 (Westmill Road/Tonwell Bypass/Ware Road/Watton at Stone Bypass/Hooks Cross/Broadhall Way), A1(M) and A505 Baldock Bypass, or via A505 Baldock Bypass, B197 (Jacks Hill/ High Street/Graveley Road), A602 Hitchin Road, A1072 Gunnels Wood Road, A602 (Broadhall Way/Hooks Cross/Watton at Stone Bypass/Ware Road/Tonwell Bypass/Westmill Road), A10 (unnamed road/Wadesmill Bypass/Puckeridge Bypass/unnamed road/ Buntingford Bypass/unnamed road/Ermine Street/London Road/ Market Hill/Priory Lane/Melbourn Road) and A505 Royston Bypass, or via A505 Royston Bypass, A10 (Melbourn Road/Priory Lane/Barkway Street/London Road/Ermine Street/unnamed road/ Buntingford Bypass/unnamed road/Puckeridge Bypass/Wadesmill Bypass/unnamed road), A602 (Westmill Road/Tonwell Bypass/ Ware Road/Watton at Stone Bypass/Hooks Cross/Broadhall Way), A1072 Gunnels Wood Road, A602 Hitchin Road, B197 (Graveley Road/High Street/Jacks Hill) and A505 Baldock Bypass. ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
