Stocks Lane, Temporary Road Closure Due To Insufficient Road Width

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, have, under its relevant powers, made the following Order: A480 From A44 To Stocks Lane, Lyonshall, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the A480 From A44 To Stocks Lane, Lyonshall, outside the Royal George Hotel. Grid Ref: 333738 / 255595.

The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the A44 via Pembridge onto the A4112 onto the A480 and vice versa.

The said closure is required due to insufficient road width whilst pub is scaffolded for renovation works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 18th of September 2024 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 5 weeks.
