Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: A) C76 (Part), Minety; from its junction with C92 for a distance of approximately 75m in a north westerly direction to enable Openreach to carry out pole installation work and other associated works. Alternative route via C76 (unaffected length) - C83 - C91 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 30 September 2024 and the closure will be required for 2 days. This Order will come into operation on 09 September 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 09:00 and 14:30 until 20 September 2024. Phase 3: C261 (Part), Woodborough; from its junction with Broad Street for a distance of approximately 200m in an easterly direction. Phase 4: Yards Lane (Part), North Newnton; from its junction with Wilsford Road for a distance of approximately 180m in a westerly direction to enable Wessex Water to carry out sewer renovation works. Alternative route phase 1 via UC 105802 (unaffected length) - C261 - Broad Street and vice versa. Alternative route phase 2 via Wilsford Road - Broad Street and vice versa. Alternative route phase 3 via C261 (unaffected length) - UC 105802 - Broad Street and vice versa. Phase 2: C85 (Part), Crudwell; from its junction with A429 for a distance of approximately 60m in an easterly direction to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out works to repair carriageway defects and other associated works. Alternative route phase 1: via C85 (unaffected length) to county boundary - C92 - C76 - A429 and vice versa. Alternative route phase 2: via C85 (unaffected length) - C97 - A429 and vice versa. The closure and diversion route will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. This Order which previously came into operation on 28 August 2024 will now recommence on: Phase 1: 12 September 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:00 and 23:59 for 1 day. Phase 2: 13 September 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:00 and 23:59 for 1 day. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 THE COUNTY OF WILTSHIRE (VARIOUS ROADS, CHIPPENHAM) (20MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2024
(Previously advertised as 2023) Notice is hereby given that on 28 August 2024 Wiltshire Council made the above mentioned Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which is to introduce a 20mph speed limit in the town of Chippenham on Ashe Close, Ashe Crescent, Ashfield Road, Barrow Green, Birch Grove, Broomfield, Cedar Grove, Deansway, Elmwood, Greenway Avenue, Greenway Court, Greenway Gardens, Greenway Lane, Greenway Park, Hamlet Court, Heathfield, Hill Rise, Lansdown Grove, Maple Way, Moorlands, Murrayfields, Northwood, Oaklands, The Hamlet, The Oaks, Twickenham Way, Willow Grove - the complete lengths; Pew Hill (northern spur) - from its junction with Hill Corner Road for its entire length; Pew Hill (southern spur) - from its junction with B4069 for its entire length.

Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in the Order on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the relevant Section of the above Act or on the grounds that any requirement of that Section or of Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act or any regulation made under the said Schedule, has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court. The Order will come into operation on 13 September 2024.

On 20 August 2024, Wiltshire Council confirmed the above order made under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980. The effect of the order as confirmed will divert Hankerton Footpaths 26 and 24 over the land situate at Hankerton Field Farm, Malmesbury in the parish of Hankerton, from OSGR ST 9525-9108 leading in a broadly north easterly direction for approximately 575m to at OSGR ST 9570-9126, to a new route at OSGR ST 9525-9108 leading in a broadly north easterly direction for approximately 615m to OSGR ST 9570-9126, having a width of 2m and OSGR ST 9540-9113 leading in a broadly northerly direction for approximately 25m to OSGR ST 9540-9116, having a width of 2 metres. And thereupon the Malmesbury Rural District Council Area Definitive Map dated 1952 shall be modified accordingly.
