Order made: To close that part of B4424 Upton Road from its junction with U62015 Winsmore to its junction with C2103 Jennet Tree Lane.

Reason: Footway reconstruction by WCC.

Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.

(U54130 Woodstock Road, Worcester) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024

Order made: To close that part of U54130 Woodstock Road from its junction with U54000 Oldbury Road to its junction with U54131 Blenheim Road.

Reason: Footway reconstruction by WCC.

Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.

Alternative route: U54131 Blenheim Road, U54132 Windsor Avenue, U54133 Laugherne Road, U54000 Oldbury Road and vice versa.

Order made: To close that part of U51200 Tolladine Road from its junction with U51221 Patterdale Drive to its junction with U51220 Borrowdale Avenue.

Reason: Utility works by WCC.

Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.

Proposed Order: To close that part of U62007 Orchard Way from its junction with U62005 Lower Ferry Lane to its junction with U62008 Alton Park.

Reason: Footway reconstruction by WCC. Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.

Alternative route: U62005 Lower Ferry Lane, U62010 Bow Hill, U62009 Highfield, U62008 Alton Park and vice versa. Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 12 days. Commencing: 30 September 2024.

(C2046 Stockwood Lane to A422 Alcester Road, Inkberrow) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024

Order made: To close that part of C2046 Stockwood Lane to A422 Alcester Road from its junction with C2051 Stockwood Lane to its junction with U43409 Stockwood Lane.

Reason: Drainage and flood alleviation work by WCC.

Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.

Alternative route: C2046 Stockwood Lane to A422 Alcester Road (part), A422 Alcester Road, A422 Worcester Road, C2051 Withybed Lane, C2051 Stockwood Lane and vice versa.

No access for emergency services diversion route must be followed.

Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 5 days. Commencing: 9 September 2024.

(U64611 Wichenford, Wichenford) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024

Proposed Order: To close that part of U64611 Wichenford from its junction with C2243 Wichenford to its junction with U64611 Kings Green.

Reason: Post Installation by Severn Trent water. Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.

Alternative route: C2243 Wichenford, C2068 Wichenford, C2236 Wichenford, U64614 Poplar Road, U64611 Wichenford (part) and vice versa.

Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 3 days. Commencing: 1 October 2024.

(C2010 New Road, Flyford Flavell) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024

Proposed Order: To close that part of C2010 New Road from its junction with A422 Alcester Road to its junction with C2011 Evesham Road.

Reason: Pre Surface Dresing Patching by WCC.

Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.

Alternative route: A422 Alcester Road, A422 Worcester Road, C2011 Evesham Road and vice versa.

Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 2 days. Commencing: 3 October 2024.

(C2252 Hope House Lane, Martley) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024

Order made: To close that part of C2252 Hope House Lane from its junction with U64617 Hollins Lane to its junction with C2238 Willow Road

Reason: Sewer works by Shannonside Civil Engineering. Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.

Alternative route: C2252 Church Lane, B4204 Martley, B4197 Berrow Green Road, C2066 Berrow Green, C2066 Newtown, C2238 Newtown, C2238 Willow Road and vice versa. No access for emergency services the diversion route must be used.

Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 5 days (24hrs). Commencing: 9 September 2024.

(U50319 Northwick Road, Worcester) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024

Proposed Order: To close that part of U50319 Northwick Road from its junction with U50365 Green Lane to its junction with Bixton Close (NSG Ref 45001958).

Reason: Carriageway resurfacing by WCC.

Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.

Alternative route: U50319 Northwick Road (part), U50336 Beckett Road, A449 Ombersley Road, U50365 Green Lane and vice versa.

Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 2 days between 27 September 2024 and 11 October 2024.

(U64600 Harpley, Lower Sapey) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024

Proposed Order: To close that part of U64600 Harpley from its junction with B4203 High Lane (Herefordshire) to its junction with C2072 Holly Bush Lane.

Reason: Grass/debris clearance by WCC.

Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.

Alternative route: C2072 Holly Bush Lane, B4203 High Lane (Herefordshire) and vice versa

Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 4 days. Commencing: 30 September 2024.

(U64008 Walton Lane, Grimley) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024

Proposed Order: To close that part of U64008 Walton Lane from its junction with A443 Main Road to its junction with C2256 Sinton Green.

(U52006 Durham Road, Worcester) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024

Order made: To close that part of U52006 Durham Road from its junction with U52004 Canterbury Road to its junction with U52007 Wells Road.

Reason: Small carriageway patch repair by J. Murphy & Sons Limited.

Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.

Alternative route: U52004 Canterbury Road, U52009 Lichfield Avenue, U52007 Wells Road and vice versa.

Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 2 days. Commencing: 9 September 2024.

(U52304 Stanley Street, Worcester) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024

Order made: To close that part of U52304 Stanley Street from its junction with U52303 Orchard Street to its junction with A38 Bath Road.

Reason: Carriageway resurfacing by WCC. Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.

Alternative route: U52303 Orchard Street, U52300 Waverley Street, U52299 Greenway Drive, U52308 Bath Road and vice versa.

Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 1 day between 9 September 2024 and 13 September 2024.

(A44 Bromyard Road, Worcester) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024

Order made: To close that part of A44 Bromyard Road from its junction with U54159 Boughton Close to its junction with U54151 Happy Land West.

Reason: Carriageway resurfacing by WCC.

Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.

Alternative route: A44 Bromyard Road (part), A4440 Grove Way, B4485 Bransford Road, B4206 St Johns, A44 Bromyard Road (part) and vice versa.

Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 1 night (19:00-06:00) between 11 September 2024 and 22 September 2024.

(U50330 Old Northwick Lane, Worcester) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024

Order made: To close that part of U50330 Old Northwick Lane from its junction with U50330 Old Northwick Lane to its junction with U50319 Northwick Road.

Reason: Footway reconstruction by WCC.

Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (As Amended) (C2086 Copcut Lane, Salwarpe) (40 Mph Speed Limit) Order 2024

Worcestershire County Council are to consider making an Order the effect of which will be to reduce the speed limit on the following length of road in Salwarpe to 40 miles per hour: C2086 Copcut Lane, Salwarpe:- From its junction with A38 Droitwich Road to a point 80 metres west of the centre of 'Salwarpe Road' railway overbridge. There are exemptions in the Order for Special Forces Vehicles. (City of Worcester) (Civil Enforcement Area) (Waiting Restrictions and Street Parking Places) Consolidation Order 2011 (Variation) Order 2024 [Experimental Revocation of No Waiting at Any Time on A38 Bath Road, Worcester]

On 22 August 2024 Worcestershire County Council made an Experimental Order which will revoke no waiting at waiting at any time on the following length and side of roads in Worcester:-A38 Bath Road (West Side) - From its junction with Barneshall Avenue for a distance of 38m in a northerly direction. The Experimental Order will come into operation 19 September 2024 and remain in force for a maximum of 18 months. Documents in relation to this Order can be downloaded at the Worcester City Public Notice page on the Worcestershire County Council Website or copies supplied by emailing; roadtrafficregs@worcestershire.gov.uk; or writing to me at Wildwood or may be inspected at Wildwood, Wildwood Drive, Worcester WR5 2QT. The Experimental Order has been made to allow assessment of the effect of the Order before a decision is taken to make it permanent.

(Restricted Byway WR-929 and WR-925, Worcester) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024

Order made: To close restricted Byway WR-929 for its entire length to all users and restricted Byway WR-925 to all but those who wish to use WR-928.

The Order has been made due to repairs to a railway bridge at Ordnance Survey Grid Reference (OSGR SO 8655 5308). Exemptions: to permit access to any land or premises having a frontage to the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the necessary works to be undertaken. Alternative route: For pedestrians is: Battenhall Road, Chase End Close, WR-922, southeast on London Road until Red Hill Lane at OSGR SO 8677 5373, and vice versa. For all other users is: Battenhall Road, Battle Road, Camp Hill Road and southeast on London Road until Red Hill Lane, and vice versa. The proposed Order will continue in force for a period not exceeding 6 months or until the works which it is proposed to be carried out have been completed, whichever is the earlier. However, it is anticipated that the Order will only be operative for 6 months commencing on 9 September 2024.

(Footpaths DB-500 Drakes Broughton & Wadborough and SN-558 Stoulton)(Temporary Closure) Order 2024

Order made: To close Footpaths DB-500 Drakes Broughton & Wadborough and SN-558 Stoulton for their entire length. The Order has been made for the renewal of infrastructure on and near the railway foot crossing.

Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises having a frontage to the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the necessary works to be undertaken.

Alternative route: is south-east on Footpath SN-560 in Stoulton, south-westerly on SN-590, westerly, then southerly on DB-502 in Drakes Broughton & Wadborough, westerly on U47619 Abbotswood Road, after the bridge northerly then north-westerly on Footpath DB-501, northerly on NJ-553 in Norton Juxta Kempsey, northerly on C2201 Wadborough Road and northerly on NJ-542 and vice versa.

The proposed Order will continue in force for a period not exceeding 6 months or until the works which it is proposed to be carried out have been completed, whichever is the earlier. However, it is anticipated that the Order will only be operative for 6 months commencing on 7 September 2024.

(Copenhagen Street, Worcester) (Prohibition of Driving) Order 2006 (Revocation) and (Copenhagen Street, Worcester) (Prohibition of Driving) Order 2020 (Revocation) and (Proposal) Order 2024

On 29 August 2024 Worcestershire County Council made an Order giving permanent effect to an Experimental Order made on 20 July 2023 which will prohibit driving on the following length of road in Worcester:

Copenhagen Street from its junction with High Street for a distance of 35 metres in a westerly direction unless they have a qualifying exemption as specified in the schedule to this order. The Order will come into operation on 12 September 2024. The validity of the Council's powers in making the Order or this exercise of them may be questioned by application to the High Court within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made.
