What is happening?

West Sussex County Council

(Angmering: North Drive) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily close North Drive in Angmering, from its junction with East Drive, northwards for 70m. This restriction will operate from 0830 to 1730.

The road closure is needed to maintain safety while telecommunications cables are installed.

The Order will come into effect on 9 September 2024 and remain in force until 18 September 2024. Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.

During the operative periods of this Order alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times.

(Worthing: Union Place) (Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2024

NOTICE is hereby given that WSCC has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a one-way traffic restriction throughout the whole length of Union Place in Worthing, requiring all traffic to travel only in a westbound direction. The Order also temporarily prohibits waiting at any time throughout the whole length of the same road.

These restrictions are needed to maintain public safety while new utility pipes are installed beneath the northern carriageway of Union Place.

The Order will come into effect on 9 September 2024 and remain in force until 19 December 2024. Once made, the Order may remain in force for up to 18 months, or until the proposed works are completed, whichever is earlier.

During the operative periods of this Order alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times.

(Findon: Various Roads) (Findon Sheep Fair) 

(Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2024

NOTICE is hereby given that not less than 7 days from the date of this notice, WSCC intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to permit temporarily management measures to be installed while the Findon Sheep Fair takes place, as follows:

To introduce temporary one-way traffic restrictions on, Cross Lane (southwards only) High Street (southbound only) Horsham Road (northbound only) and Nepcote Lane (southbound only) and;

To temporarily prohibit waiting at any time on the following roads on lengths indicated by local signage: Cross Lane, Convent Gardens, High Street, Horsham Road, Nepcote Lane, Soldiers Field Lane.

These restrictions are needed to manage traffic safely during the Findon Sheep Fair.

The Order will come into effect on 14 September 2024 only and is expected to be in operation between 0730 and 1730.

During the operative periods of this Order alternative routes for vehicles will be indicated on site and traffic managed by marshals. Access to properties on the affected length of road will be maintained at all times.
