(C31 Chesters Brae, Chesters) (Temporary Closing) Order 2024
The Scottish Borders Council (C31 Chesters Brae, Chesters) (Temporary Closing) Order 2024 has been made under
Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 12 September 2024 and is expected to remain in effect for a period of one day between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00. The Order is required for SPEN works.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the C31 at Chesters Brae, Chesters.
The alternative route for eastbound traffic is via the C31, A6088, A68 and C31 to the point of closure, for westbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.

(Sime Place, Galashiels) (Temporary No Waiting) Order 2024
The Scottish Borders Council (Sime Place, Galashiels) (Temporary No Waiting) Order 2024 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 09:00 on 9 September 2024 and is expected to remain in effect until 18:00 on 20 September 2024 – 24 hour restriction. The Order is required for SGN works.
When the Order comes into effect, no person shall permit any vehicle to wait or to be parked along Sime Place, Galashiels as follows:
(i) on the east side from High Street to Number 10 from 09:00 on 9 September to 18:00 on 20 September 2024; and (ii) on the west side from Bridge Street to Number 9 from 09:00 on 12 September to 18:00 on 20 September 2024.

(C77 Lauder to Langshaw) (Temporary Closing) Order 2024
The Scottish Borders Council (C77 Lauder to Langshaw) (Temporary Closing) Order 2024 has been made under
Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 9 September 2024 and is expected to remain in effect for a period of five days between the hours of 09:00 and 17:00 each day. The Order is required for resurfacing works.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the C77 from Lauder to Langshaw.
The alternative route for southbound traffic is via the C77, A68, B6360, B6374 and C77 to the point of closure, for northbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing.

(DG161-2 Birks View, Galashiels) (Stopping Up) Order 202x
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that The Scottish Borders Council proposes to make an Order under Section 207 of the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997 stopping up that length of road described in the Schedule below. The title of the order is “The Scottish Borders Council (DG161-2 Birks View, Galashiels) (Stopping Up) Order 202X”. A copy of the proposed Order and of the accompanying plan showing the length of road to be stopped up together with a Statement of the Council’s Reasons for making the Order can be seen at The Scottish Borders Council, Council Headquarters, Newtown St. Boswells. These documents are available for inspection free of charge from Mondays to Thursdays between 9:00am and 5:00pm, on Fridays between 9:00am and 4:00pm and also at the Council’s Contact Centre, Paton Street, Galashiels TD1 3AS during its normal opening hours.
