What is happening?
STROUD DISTRICT COUNCIL (OFF STREET PARKING PLACES) (CONSOLIDATION) ORDER 2010 (AS AMENDED) VARIATION ORDER No. 3 2024
1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Stroud District Council ("the Council") HAS MADE an Order under Sections 32 and 35 of and under Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) ("the Act") and of all other enabling powers with the consent of Gloucestershire County Council in accordance with Section 39(3) of the Act and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act.
2. The Order which comes into effect on 2 September 2024 may be cited as 'Stroud District Council (Off Street Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2010 (as amended) Variation Order No. 3 2024)' and relates to the visitors car park at Ebley Wharf, Ebley Mill, Stroud, Gloucestershire ("the car park").
3. The purpose of the proposed Order is to include Ebley Wharf car park in the Stroud District Council (Off Street Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2010 (as amended) the effect of which will be that all of the provisions therein, including charging, apply to the car park.
4. The Order may be inspected by prior appointment (telephone 01453 766321) at the Reception of Stroud District Council Ebley Mill Ebley Wharf Stroud Glos GL5 4UB during normal working hours or online on Stroud District Council's web-site.
5. Any person who wishes to question the validity of this Order or any provision contained In it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Act on any ground that any requirement of the Act or any instrument made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to this Order may within six weeks from the date of this Notice make application to the High Court.
