What is happening?
DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE EATON BANK, LITTLE EATON
WHEN: 09 September to 24 November 2024
WHERE: Eaton Bank, Little Eaton between its Jct. with Rigga Lane for an approx. distance of 90m south.
REASON: To facilitate the rebuilding of 52m of leaning highway retaining wall the ensure the integrity of the road.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Duffield Road, B6179 Alfreton Road, A38 Abbey Hill Westbound, A6: Duffield Road; Burley Hill; Derby Road, Makeney Road, Eaton Bank and vice versa.
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will reopen as soon as the work is finished. This may be earlier than advertised.
Derbyshire County Council apologises for any inconvenience caused while work takes place. Anyone needing further information should ring Call Derbyshire on 01629 533190.
The County Council has made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to prohibit its use by traffic.
