What is happening?

CUMBERLAND COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS IN AND AROUND FRIZINGTON, GOSFORTH, SANDWITH, HALLTHWAITES AND PARK DRIVE, WHITEHAVEN) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out ("the Works"), Cumberland Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the lengths of road specified in the attached Schedule.

Suitable diversion routes will be indicated on site by the display of relevant traffic signs as and when the temporary closures are in force. A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.

quote are detailed in the schedule.

The Order will come into operation on 10 September 2024 and

may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months.

However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions

will only be required for as stated in the schedule and only as and

when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.

SCHEDULE

EXTENT OF RESTRICTIONS AND ALTERNATIVE ROUTES

1. Coronation Drive, Frizington - from 10 September 2024 for approx. 2 days (Ref: TTROC/11721)

From a point approx 60m south west of its junction with Yeathouse Road, extending in a south westerly direction for approx.40m.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of Coronation Drive, A5086 and Yeathouse Road.

2. C4018 Wasdale Road, Gosforth - from 17 September 2024 for approx. 2 days (Ref: TTROC/11807)

From its junction with Denton Park to its junction with the U4090. Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the C4018, Wasdale Road, Leagate Brow, Lane Side, C4019, C4025, C4026, White Croft and Wasdale Road.

3. U4033 Main Street, Sandwith - from 25 September 2024 for approx. 2 days (Ref: TTROC/ 11899)

From a point approx 260m west of its junction with the U4034 High Road and Byerstead Road, extending in a westerly direction for 50m.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted section of the U4033, Main

Street, U4432 Dalelands Road and the U4034 Byerstead Road.

4. U4090 Gosforth - from 3 October 2024 for approx. 2 days (Ref: TTROC/11937)

From a point approx 460m west from its junction with the C4018 Wasdale Road, extending in a north westerly direction for approx 170m.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the U4090, A595, Hardingill, Whitecroft and Wasdale Road.

5. U4079 Roanlands Brow, Badhouse Brow and Lady Hall Lane, Hallthwaites - from 7 October 2024 for approx. 2 days (Ref: TTROC/11930)

Lady Hall Lane, from a point approx 1.4km south of its junction with the A5093, extending in a southerly direction onto Badhouse Brow and Roanlands Brow, for a total distance of approx 980m. Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of the U4079 Roanlands Brow and Lady Hall Lane, A5093, A595 Mains Brow and Buckman Brow.

6. Park Drive, Whitehaven - from 10 October 2024 for approx. 2 days (Ref: TTROC11950)

From its junction with Castle Close extending in a north westerly direction for approx 110m.

Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of Park Drive, A595, A5094 Inkerman Terrace and Back Corkickle.

7. U4079 Lady Hall Lane, Hallthwaites - from 16 October 2024 for approx. 2 days (Ref: TTROC/11972)

From a point approx. 900m south of its junction with the A5093, extending in a southerly direction for approx 300m. Alternative Route: via the unrestricted sections of Lady Hall Lane, Badhouse Brow, Roanlands Brow, A5093, A595 Mains Brow and Buckman Brow.
