Parish of Widdrington Station & Stobswood (Public Footpath No 11)
Extinguishment Order 2021
The above Order was made on 23rd April 2021, under Section 118 of the Highways Act 1980, was confirmed on 28th August 2024. The effect of the Order will be as follows:-
Public Footpath No 11 (Parish of Widdrington Station & Stobswood)
To extinguish the public footpath, from a point 20 metres south of “Woodland Villa” (OS grid ref: NZ 2418 9407), in a north-easterly direction for a distance of 55 metres, to the junction of Grange Road and Grangemoor Road (NZ 2421 9411).
These details are shown on the Order map. A copy of the Order and map have been placed and may be seen free of charge at the offices of the Legal Services Manager, County Hall, Morpeth, NE61 2EF, during normal working hours. Copies of the Order and map may be purchased. They can also be viewed online at https://www.northumberland.gov.uk/About/Maps/Public-rights-of-way.aspx#ordersandnotices. The Order comes into force on 30th October 2024, but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, within six weeks from 5th September 2024 make an application to the High Court for that purpose.
