THE DERBYSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS, ASHOVER)
(30MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2024
Notice is hereby given that, on the 29th August 2024 the Derbyshire County Council made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The Order will come into operation on the 9th September 2024 and its effect is to introduce;
30 MPH SPEED LIMIT
Chapel Hill (All arms), Ashover
From its junction with Cripton Lane to its junction with Hill Road.
Church Street, Ashover
From its junction with the B6036 Butts Road in a northerly then easterly direction to its junction with Milken Lane.
Cripton Lane, Ashover
From a point 21 metres north of the northern arm of Chapel Hill in a South easterly direction to its junction with Moor Road.
Dovecotes, Ashover
From its junction with Church Street in a South easterly direction for its entire length.
Hardmeadow Lane, Ashover
From its junction with Milken Lane in a South easterly direction for a distance of 82 metres
Hill Road, Ashover
From its junction with Hill Top Road in a South easterly direction to its junction with Malthouse Lane.
Hillside, Ashover
From its junction with Hill Road in a North easterly direction for a distance of 175 metres
Malthouse Lane (Including Cul de sac Even numbers 10 – 52), Ashover
From its junction with Hill Road in a South westerly direction to its junction with Moor Road.
Marsh Green Lane, Ashover
From its junction with Moor Road in a north westerly direction for its entire length.
Milken Lane, Ashover
From its junction with Church Street in an easterly direction to its junction with Hard Meadow Lane.
Moor Road, Ashover
From its junction with Church Street in a north westerly direction to its junction with Cripton Lane.
Narrowleys Lane, Ashover
From its junction with B6036 Butts Road in a north easterly direction to its junction with Moor Road.
Any permanent Traffic Regulation Orders made prior to this Order, insofar as they relate to the lengths of road listed above, will be revoked.
A copy of the Order and documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order are available for inspection at the County Council’s principal offices known as County Hall on Smedley Street in Matlock between 9am and 5pm on each day from Monday to Friday and on request by emailing Place.permanentTRO@derbyshire.gov.uk until 6 weeks after the Order is made until 10th October 2024.
Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order, or any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of The Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the ground that a requirement of that Act or any relevant regulation made under it has not been complied with may, within 6 weeks from the 29th of August 2024 make application for the purpose to the High Court.
