(A182 Seaham Link Road, Seaham Garden Village, Seaham)
(Temporary Speed Restriction) Order 2024
The Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, Section 14(1) to temporarily prohibit all vehicular traffic on A182 Seaham link road from travelling at a speed in excess of: 30 miles per hour from the existing de-restriction/50mph signs east of A19/A182 Cold Hesledon Roundabout and extending eastwards for a distance of 1200 metres; and 50 miles per hour from the eastern point above and extending eastwards for a distance of 500 metres, to enable roundabout modification works to be undertaken. The maximum duration of the Order is 18 months. The proposed works are to commence on 20/9/2024 and are anticipated to be completed by the end of March 2025. On occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly.
