What is happening?
SOUTH GLOUCESTERSHIRE COUNCIL
(Shaymoor Lane, Pilning) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Shaymoor Lane which extends from a point 130m south east of Station Road south eastwards for 50m. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with new water connection works. The order will be operative from 2 October 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 3 days duration. No alternative route available.
(Castle Farm Road, Hanham) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Castle Farm Road which extends from a point 60m north east of Riverside Way north eastwards for 26m. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with pole replacement works. The order became operative from 10 September 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of a 1 day duration, between 9.30am and 3.30pm. Alternative route: Riverside Way, Abbots Road and vice versa
(Brook Street, Chipping Sodbury) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Foot Passengers, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of Brook Street which extends from a point 96m north west of High street north westwards for 40m. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon lead replacement works on or adjacent to the highway.
The order became operative from 9 September 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 5 days duration. No alternative route available: No through road
(Patch Elm Lane, Rangeworthy) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Patch Elm Lane which extends from Wotton Road westwards for 405m. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with flood alleviation scheme works. The order became operative from 9 September 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 3 days duration. No alternative route available: No through road
(Cloisters Road, Winterbourne) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Cloisters Road which extends from a point 130m south east of Factory Road south eastwards for 130m This order was required for the following reason: in connection with new electricity supply works. The order became operative from 9 September 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 4 weeks duration. Alternative route: Cloisters Road, North Road and Cloisters Road, Nicholls Lane and vice versa
(Freezing Hill Lane, Cold Ashton) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Foot Passengers, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of Freezing Hill Lane which extends from a point 734m south west of A420 London Road south westwards for 675m. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon pole testing works on or adjacent to the highway. The order will be operative from 30 September 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of a 1 day duration, between 9:30am to 3:30pm. Alternative route: Freezing Hill Lane (parts unaffected), Bath Road, London Road and vice versa.
(Bath Road, Cold Ashton) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Bath Road which extends from Marshfield Lane to its County boundary with Bath and North East Somerset. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with reconstruction and resurfacing works. The order will be operative from 20 September 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months.
The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 13 nights duration between 7pm to 6am. Alternative route: Bath Road (part unaffected), A420, A46, A4, Lansdown Road (part unaffected) and vice versa.
