ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) NOTICE OF TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS 2024

Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, intend to make an order the effect of which:

Footpath Blakeney Grove to Newton Green, Nailsea, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by Pedestrians Order 2024 Date coming into force: 25 October 2024 - Ref: SW24.25-159

Will be to close, temporarily, to pedestrians the lengths of footpath specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of footpath.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Wales & West Utilities Ltd to replace a gas main. This will become operative on the 25 October 2024 for a maximum period of 6 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 15 days in duration. Appropriate pedestrian traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Claverham Road, Claverham, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2024 Date coming into force: 28 October 2024 - Ref: SW24.25-171

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by National Grid for trenching works. This will become operative on the 28 October 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 4 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

High Street, Claverham, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2024 Date coming into force: 16 October 2024 - Ref: SW24.25-186

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach for road closure required for the safety of engineer for pole replacement. This will become operative on the 16 October 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 6 hours in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Wellington Terrace, Clevedon, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2024 Date coming into force: 4 November 2024 - Ref: SW24.25-188

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Bristol Water to carry out 8m of lead replacement. This will become operative on the 4 November 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 3 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Clapton Lane, From junction of Maysfield Close to junction of Moor Lane, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2024 Date coming into force: 5 November 2024 - Ref: SW24.25-179

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by BT to replace a cover. This will become operative on the 5 November 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 3 days in duration. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

FINAL NOTICE OF TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS 2024 Notice is hereby given that North Somerset Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, have made an order the effect of which:

The Portbury Hundreds, Portbury, North Somerset Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles Order 2024 Date coming into force: 23 September 2024 - Ref: SW24.25-173

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by National Highways for electrical cabling works on National Highway network. This will become operative on the 23 September 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 5 nights in duration between 8pm and 6am. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

Will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. Exemptions are included for emergency services, works access, works vehicles and as works permit for premises which may only be accessed via the closed section of road.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd to CCTV drainage works. This will become operative on the 9 September 2024 for a maximum period of 18 months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 2 nights in duration between 9pm and 6am. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed when the measures are in force.

This order was required because of the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon work by Openreach to replace a pole. This will become operative on the 21 September 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only as necessitated by the works which is anticipated to be of 1 day in duration between 9.30am and 3.30pm. Notice of making of an Order Town and Country Planning Act 1990 Part of Footpath LA13/24/20, Youngwood Lane, Nailsea Public Path Diversion Order No.13 2024

The above Order, made on 27 August 2024, under Section 257 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990, will divert part of Public Footpath LA13/24/20 in the Parish of Nailsea within the District of North Somerset as described: Public Footpath LA13/24/20. From point A (Grid ref ST46471

69301) running south-westerly to point J (Grid ref ST 46331 68947) as shown by a bold continuous line on the plan Map No. PPO 210. Total length to be diverted 388m. To the new route is to start at point A (Grid ref ST46471 69301) running first south southeasterly to point B (Grid ref ST46475 69289) then west south-westerly through point C (Grid ref ST46337 69250)

to point D (Grid ref ST46308 69230) then southerly to point E (Grid ref ST46325 69129) easterly to point F (Grid ref ST46344 69130) south southeasterly through point G (Grid ref 46366 69061) south south-westerly to point H (Grid ref ST46356 69015) west south-westerly to point I (Grid ref ST46282 68989) and southeasterly to point J (Grid ref ST46331 68947) as shown by a bold broken line on the attached Map No. PPO 210. Total length of diverted route 602m. The new surface will be tarmacked from point A to point I. Point I to point J will be a grassed path and have a width of 2m. Notice of Making Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Prohibition of Stopping, Waiting, Loading and Parking Places (Consolidation) Order 2022 (Variation No.13) Order 2024 - Ref: DRB/2410/2024

Notice is hereby given that on the 29 August 2024 North Somerset Council made the following order in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The general effect of the order shall be to amend the North Somerset Council (Prohibition of Stopping, Waiting, Loading and Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2022. The order came into operation on the 9 September 202 and copies of this together with plans and a copy of the Council's statement of reason for making the order may be inspected at https://n-somerset.gov.uk/my-services/ parking-travel-roads/roads-streets/comment-traf^ic-regulation-orders-tros

Any person who desires to question the validity of, or of any provision contained in the order on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, or on the grounds that any of the relevant requirements of that Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, may within six weeks after the date on which the order was made, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
