Burnham-On-Sea, Temporary Road Closures Due To Gas Works

What is happening?

Somerset Council Parish of Burnham-on-Sea and Highbridge Temporary Closure of Hudson Street, Jubilee Street and Summerville Terrace

Somerset Council in exercise of Its powers under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended, have made an Order prohibiting all traffic from proceeding along: Hudson Street (9th September to 4th October) - from the junction with Abingdon Street, northwards for its whole length a distance of 95 metres; Jubilee Street (30th September to 25th October) - from the junction with Technical Street to the junction with Summerville Terrace; and Summerville Terrace (30th September to 25th October) - from the junction with Jubilee Street to the junction with Pheonix Terrace. A total distance of 195 metres. This Order will enable Wales & West Utilities to carry out gas main upgrade works.

The Order becomes effective on 3rd September 2024 and will remain in force for eighteen months. These phased works are expected to commence on 9th September 2024 and last until 25th October 2024 between the hours of 00:00 - 23:59 for a total of 47 days. As and when signed on site.
