What is happening?
Essex County Council
(Wash Road, Hutton) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Wash Road, Hutton in the Borough of Brentwood, from a point approximately 100m north of its junction with Prospect Way for a distance of approximately 80m in a northerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 29th September 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (KL701SSV-21-54-290924 – Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd).
The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while bridge inspection works are undertaken by Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd.
An alternative route is available via Widvale Road, Roman Road, Chelmsford Road Roundabout, Chelmsford Road, Hutton Road, Rayleigh Road and vice versa (with access only into Widvale Road, Wash Road).
The Order will come into effect on 11th September 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Alexander Lane, Hutton/Shenfield) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Alexander Lane, Hutton/Shenfield in the Borough of Brentwood, from the junction of Long Ridings Avenue for a distance of approximately 60m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 16th September 2024 for 1 night (22:00-05:00), or where stated on a valid permit (KL701LTN1-20-47-160724 & KL701LTN1-20-47-160724A – Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while bridge examination works are undertaken by Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd.
An alternative route is available via Alexander Lane, Rayleigh Road, Hutton Road, Chelmsford Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 28th August 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Bellhouse Lane, South Weald) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Bellhouse Lane, South Weald in the Borough of Brentwood, from a point approximately 110m north east of its junction with Coxtie Green Road for a distance of approximately 30m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 16th September 2024 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ7031001347615 – Cadent).
The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Cadent.

(Dagwood Lane, Doddinghurst) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Dagwood Lane, Doddinghurst in the Borough of Brentwood, from its junction with Church Lane to its junction with Days Lane a distance of approximately 1035m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 16th September 2024 for 33 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP02231011125 – Acura Construction Services Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while construction of new passing places and bellmouth works are undertaken by Acura Construction Services Ltd.
An alternative route is available via Church Lane, Doddinghurst Road, Days Lane and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 28th August 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Dudbrook Road, Navestock) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Dudbrook Road, Navestock in the Borough of Brentwood, from a point approximately 215m north west of its junction with Howard Lodge Road for a distance of approximately 205m in a north westerly then south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 16th September 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2368594 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while sign replacement works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Dudbrook Road, Navestock Side, Princes Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 28th August 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Wheelers Lane, South Weald) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Wheelers Lane, South Weald in the Borough of Brentwood, from its junction with Coxtie Green Road for a distance of approximately 35m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 16th September 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2368588 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while sign replacement works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Coxtie Green Road, Mores Lane, Snakes Hill, Navestock Side, Wheelers Lane and vice versa.
