ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE B1125 DUNWICH ROAD, BLYTHBURGH
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the B1125 Dunwich Road, Blythburgh from the junction with Amberley Close for 30 metres southbound to facilitate a new telecommunications duct. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the B1387, the A12, the B1125 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate on 03/09/2024 from 9.30am - 3.30pm, but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF FOOTPATHS 18 AND 72, IPSWICH
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing Footpath 18, Ipswich from Westerfield Road, Ipswich to Footpath 71, Ipswich and 225 metres northeast of Footpath 72, Ipswich for 350 metres northeastbound and Footpath 72, Ipswich from Footpath 18, Ipswich to Footpath 71, Ipswich to facilitate the construction of a new housing development. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
The diversion routes will be:
- Footpath 18 - There will be an alternative route shown on site
- Footpath 72 - Ipswich Footpath 18 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 12/09/2024 - 11/03/2025 (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U8309 WATSONS HILL, SEMER
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the U8309 Watsons Hill, Semer from the junction with the A1141 for 322 metres northeastbound to facilitate gas, electrical overhead lines and poles. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be the A1141, the B1115, Church Lane and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate on 03/09/2024 from 8am - 6pm, but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C600 NEWMANS GROVE, LAKENHEATH
Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C600 Newmans Grove, Lakenheath from Station Road (A1065) to U6005 Mill Road, Lakenheath for 20 metres southbound to facilitate a pole replacement, replacement of overhead lines and tree cutting. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Newmans Grove, the A1011, Eriswell Road, the B1112, the A1065, the High Street, Newmans Grove and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate on 03/09/2024 from 8am - 6pm, but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C694 BRIDGE STREET, BECCLES
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C694 Bridge Street, Beccles from the junction with Puddingmoor to facilitate repairs to the bridge and civil works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion routes will be via:
- North Cloeskwe: Ravensmere, Waveney, Station Road, George Westwood Way, the A146, London Road, Gillingham Dam and vice versa
- Clockwise: Gillingham Dam, London Road, the A146, George Westwood Way, Station Road, St. Smilda, Blyburgate, Peddar's Lane, Ballygate, Northgate and vice versa
It is intended that the closure will operate on 12/09/2024 from 9.30am - 3.30pm, but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL (DISTRICT OF SUFFOLK COASTAL) (STOPPING, WAITING AND LOADING PROHIBITIONS AND RESTRICTIONS AND ON-STREET PARKING PLACES) (MAP-BASED) ORDER 2019 (NARTHENSHAM) (A12), (BRIGHTWELL) ORDER 2024
On 28/08/2024, Suffolk County Council made the above order under Sections 1, 2 and 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which would substitute revision 1 of Map Tile H39G1 in place of revision 0 of the same Map Tile, in the above-named 2019 order, as amended. The effect of this would be to introduce "no waiting at any time" on the A12 at Narthenham, (Brightwell) layby, which is the layby parallel to Lancaster Drive in Martlesham Heath which spans approximately 217 metres.
Exemptions to the waiting restrictions allow a vehicle to wait for so long as is necessary to board or alight passengers, load or unload goods, for certain maintenance work, for the carrying out of postal services, and for their lawful statutory duties, or are the usual exemptions for Blue Badge holders.

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL (BOROUGH OF IPSWICH) (STOPPING, WAITING AND LOADING PROHIBITIONS AND RESTRICTIONS AND ON-STREET PARKING PLACES) (MAP-BASED) ORDER 2015 (BOROUGH OF IPSWICH) (BRAMFORD LANE) (SU40404) (WAITING RESTRICTIONS) (VARIATION NO.4) ORDER 2024
Suffolk County Council proposes to make the above order under Sections 1, 2, 4 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which would substitute Revision 1 of Map Tiles GG118 and GG119 in place of revision 0 of the same Map Tiles in the above-named 2015 order, as amended.
The effect of this would be to introduce No Waiting Monday to Friday 8.30am - 9.30am and 2.30pm - 3.30pm on Bramford Lane (SU40404) on its north-east side from the boundary of property number 15/17 Bramford Lane, for a distance of 43.1 metres in a north-west direction.
Exemptions to the waiting restrictions allow a vehicle to wait for so long as is necessary to board or alight or load or unload for building, industrial or demolition works; for emergency services; for the maintenance of the road or its services and to fulfil statutory duties. The usual exemptions for blue badge-holders will apply.

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL (IPSWICH) (MORLAND ROAD) (U2046) (PROHIBITION OF MOTOR VEHICLES) (EXPERIMENTAL) ORDER 2024
On 28/08/2024, Suffolk County Council made the above order under Sections 9 and 10 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended. The order will introduce an experimental prohibition of motor vehicles from proceeding in Morland Road between 8.30am and 9am and 3pm - 3.45pm Monday to Friday, for a distance of 68 metres, along the whole of the road.
The order will come into effect on 04/09/2024 and will operate as an experiment for a maximum period of 18 months. The County Council will monitor the experiment and will consider in due course whether the provisions should be made permanent. During the 6-month period commencing from the implementation after the orders come into effect, anyone may object to any provision of the order either to its permanence or make any other representations.
Exemptions to the prohibition of motor vehicles will apply to permit residents to access their property, delivery lorries to access local businesses situated along the road and to enable relevant authorities to carry out maintenance of the road or its services, and to fulfil statutory duties. The restrictions do not apply to taxis bringing children with additional needs to and from school and the usual exemptions for blue badge-holders apply. Exempt vehicles will be required to travel at walking pace and be escorted by a marshal. Access will also be granted for contractors’ vehicles.
