Old Wokingham Road, Temporary Prohibition Of Driving Due To Telecom Upgrade Works
What is happening?
BRACKNELL FOREST BOROUGH COUNCIL (OLD WOKINGHAM ROAD, CROWTHORNE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2024
Notice is hereby given that Bracknell Forest Borough Council has made an Order, in accordance with Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along:
a) Old Wokingham Road, Crowthorne between Brookers Corner and Woodcote Green.
The alternative route for vehicles affected by section (a) of this Order will be via Bracknell Road, A3095 Foresters Way, B3430 Nine Mile Ride and this route reversed.
The purpose of this Order is to ensure public & worker safety while Cornerstone Telecommunication access the telecommunications mast to upgrade the hardware.
The Order came into operation on the 10th September 2024 and has a maximum duration of 6 months. It is currently planned that the closure will be in place for one day on 10th September 2024 from 12:30 until 15:30.
This Order shall only apply when the appropriate signs and markings are displayed in the road.
