What is happening?
A404(M) MOTORWAY JUNCTION 9a
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that National Highways
intends to make an Order on the A404(M)
Motorway in the Unitary Authority of Windsor &
Maidenhead, under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 because works are proposed to be executed on the road.
The effect of the Order would be to authorise
overnight closure of the slip roads leading to
and from the southbound carriageway of the
A404(M) at Junction 9a.
These measures would be in the interests
of road safety while contractors working
on behalf of UK Power Solutions undertake
electrical and all associated works.
It is expected that the work would last for
approximately 3 weeks starting on or after
Wednesday 25th August 2024. The overnight
closures would take place between 20:00 and
05:00 (maximum period). Please check the
National Highways website for full details.
The Order would come into force on
23rd September 2024 and have a maximum
duration of eighteen months, ceasing when the works are complete.
During closures above, traffic affected would be diverted using the A404(M) to either M4 Junction 8/9 or Maidenhead Thicket Interchange.
The temporary closures and diversion routes
would be clearly indicated by traffic signs when they are in operation during the works period.
