What is happening?

Essex County Council

(Braintree District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) (Amendment No.43) Order 202*

Notice is hereby given Colchester City Council acting on behalf of the North Essex Parking Partnership in exercise of the delegated powers of the traffic authority Essex County Council granted under an Agreement dated 1st July 2022 proposes to make the above Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 4 (1), 4(2), 32, 35,45,46,49 and 53 and Parts III and IV of schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

The effect of the Order:

1. To introduce Resident Permit holder parking bays on the North and South kerb of East Street, Coggeshall between house numbers 50 to 63.

2. To amend The Essex County Council (Braintree District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019 to allow the properties detailed in Column 2 of the table in the Schedule 1 to this Notice to be able to purchase permits for the proposed zones listed in Column 1 of that table. This Order will be incorporated into The Essex County Council (Braintree District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019 by replacing tile numbers TL850 225 revision 1 replaced by TL850 225 revision 2.

Documents can be made available for inspection 8.30am-5.30pm Mon-Thurs and 8.30am-5pm on Fridays at Essex County Council, County Hall E block main reception, Market Road, Chelmsford.

(Highfields Road, Witham) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Highfields Road, Witham in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Cuppers Close to its junction with Spa Road a distance of approximately 175m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 24th September 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (KL701LTN1-38-04-240924 - Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while bridge inspection works are undertaken by Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd. An alternative route is available via Spinks Lane, Bridge Street, Hatfield Road, Hatfield Road - Gershwin Boulevard Roundabout, A12, Colchester Road, Newland Street, The Avenue, Avenue Road, Collingwood Road, Braintree Road, Chipping Hill, Powers Hall End and vice versa (with access only into Spa Road and Highfields Road). The Order will come into effect on 5th September 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Mowden Hall Lane, Hatfield Peverel) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Mowden Hall Lane, Hatfield Peverel in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Crabbs Hill to its junction with Bumfords Lane a distance of approximately 750m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 26th September 2024 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2361328 - Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council. An alternative route is available via Mowden Hall Lane, Crabb's Hill, Sportsmans Lane and vice versa. The Order will come into effect on 5th September 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Bennett Way, Hatfield Peverel) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Bennett Way, Hatfield Peverel in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 50m north east of the junction with Mortimer Road for a distance of approximately 30m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 9th September 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30087266495 - UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole installation works are undertaken by UK Power Networks. No alternative route is available for this closure. The Order came into effect on 22nd August 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Bulford Mill Lane, Cressing) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Bulford Mill Lane, Cressing in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Mill Lane for a distance of approximately 310m in a westerly direction (to the level crossing). The closure is scheduled to commence on 9th September 2024 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD037RO64281182 - Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pipe clearance works are undertaken by Anglian Water. An alternative route is available via Witham Road, The Green, Witham Road, The Street, Station Road, Mill Lane and vice versa (with access only into Bulford Mill Lane and Bulford Lane).

The Order came into effect on 22nd August 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(St Michaels Lane, Braintree) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of St Michaels Lane, Braintree in the District of Braintree, from its junction with High Street for a distance of approximately 40m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 10th September 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (AD03063684716/2- Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while meter exchange works are undertaken by Anglian Water. An alternative route is available via St Michaels Road and vice versa (with access only into St Michaels Lane). The Order came into effect on 22nd August 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
