A428 Trunk Road - Temporary Prohibition of Traffic For Resurfacing Works
What is happening?

THE A428 TRUNK ROAD (MADINGLEY INTERCHANGE, CAMBRIDGESHIRE) SLIP ROADS
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited(a) has made an Order on the A428 Trunk Road, in the County of Cambridgeshire to enable local authority resurfacing works to Madingley Mulch Roundabout to be carried out in safety.
The works will last for approximately 2 weeks (8pm to 6am) starting on or after Monday 16 September 2024.
The effect of the Order will be to close the exit slip road from the eastbound carriageway and entry slip road to the westbound carriageway of the A428 at Madingley Interchange.
Eastbound traffic exiting the A428 will continue and exit at A14 J32, then via B1049, A1134, Shelly Row (Mount Pleasant for westbound), Albion Row, Lady Margaret Road and the A1303; vice versa for westbound traffic entering the A428.
The closures (which will not apply to works, emergency service or traffic officer vehicles) and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.
The Order will come into force on 9 September 2024 and may continue in force until the works detailed above have been completed, or for a maximum duration of eighteen months, whichever is the earlier.
