Berry Lane - Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic
What is happening?
THE LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(LONGRIDGE SOAPBOX RACE, LONGRIDGE, RIBBLE VALLEY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lancashire County Council has made an Order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this order.
1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle from proceeding over that length of Berry Lane, Longridge.
2. To temporarily prohibit any waiting, loading/ unloading at any time on the northside of Kestor Lane, Longridge, from the junction with Derby Road to outside number 24 Kestor Lane.
3. An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via -
Market Place – Kestor Lane – Derby Road and vice versa.
4. The prohibition will be operative from 0600 hours to 1900 hours on Sunday 15th September 2024. (Or, at such time as, the last competitor has passed a point specified in the first column of the schedule to this notice.)
Access will be maintained via marshal points for residents and businesses.
The Police, Fire and Ambulance Services have been informed.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to enable the holding of the Longridge Soapbox Race.
