What is happening?
THE EAST RIDING OF
YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
(BIELBY LANE, HAYTON (PART))
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF
THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order
the effect of which is to prohibit any person from
causing any vehicle to proceed along part of Bielby
Lane, Hayton between the junction of Holly Beck and
between Hayton Bridge and Bridge Cottage on
5 September 2024 from 08.00 hours until 15.00
hours. The reason for the closure is to enable the
proposed works to be carried out and completed
in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of
the public. It is anticipated that the works will be
completed within one day. The alternative route for
traffic affected by the Order is via York Road, Carr
Lane, Crudhall Lane and Bielby Lane. The road will be
closed to all traffic but access will be maintained for
residents and emergency vehicles up to the point of
closure, but not through it, except for pedestrians.
The Order will commence 5 September 2024 and
continue in force for a period not exceeding 18
months or until the works which it is proposed to
carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
