Main Street, Warter - Temporary Traffic Regulation
What is happening?
THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
(MAIN STREET, WARTER (PART))
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH
TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order
the effect of which is to prohibit any person from
causing any vehicle to proceed along part of Main
Street, Warter between the junctions of Butt Lane
and Addlekeld. The reason for the closure is to enable
the proposed works, to be carried out and completed
in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the
public. It is anticipated that the works will be
completed on 13 September 2024 at 18.00 hours.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the Order
is via Main Street, North Dalton Road (Warter),
North Dalton Road and Middleton Road (North
Dalton), Station Road, Front Street and Market
Weighton Road (Middleton on the Wolds), Kiplingcotes
Road (Londesborough), Towthorpe Lane and York Road
(Shiptonthorpe), York Road (Hayton), The Balk,
Station Road, Railway Street, Regent Street,
Market Place, Market Street, Union Street,
London Street, St Helens Gate and Kilnwick Road
(Pocklington), Fishpond Hill (Nunburnholme),
Kilnwick Percy Hill (Kilnwick Percy), Baggaby Hill,
Inrea Hill, Westbeck Hill and Main Street (Warter) and
vice versa. The road will be open at all times to
pedestrians and for vehicular access to properties
directly affected by the closure and for emergency
services. The Order will commence 11 September
2024 and continue in force for a period not exceeding
18 months or until the works which it is proposed to
carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
