TEMPORARY CLOSING OF FOOTPATH HEMEL HEMPSTEAD 50 & HEMEL HEMPSTEAD 131
NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council intend to make an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit pedestrians from using that length of Footpath Hemel Hempstead 50 & Hemel Hempstead 131, heading west and south from Green Lane, for an approximate distance of 180 & 350m. Alternative Route: via Breakspear Way and Buncefield Lane
The purpose of the Order is to enable drainage works to take place. The section of Footpath Hemel Hempstead 50 & Hemel Hempstead 131 will be closed on or after 18 September 2024 for up to 6 months, when signs are in place.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUDDING LANE, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Pudding Lane, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Hedge Row south westwards for a distance of approximately 30m (“the Road”). An alternative route will be via Pudding Lane, Galley Hill, Gadebridge Road, Coles Hill and Pudding Lane.
The Order is needed because water service connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 25 September 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF A4251 LONDON ROAD, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER NO.2 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of A4251 London Road, Hemel Hempstead from a point 379m north west of its junction with B4505 Box Lane north westwards for a distance of approximately 60m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via A4251 London Road, A41 (Two Waters Way/unnamed road) and A4251 London Road.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 23 September 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF NETTLEDEN WITH POTTEN END PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO.028 ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using Nettleden with Potten End Public Footpath No.028, from its junction with Common Gardens north eastwards and northwards to its junction with Vicarage Road, a distance of approximately 76m (“the Footpath”). An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the east side of Common Gardens, the footway situated on the north side of The Common, the footway situated on the west side of Chuch Road and the footway situated on the south side of Vicarage Road. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Footpath.
If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 23 September 2024 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Footpath.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN VARIOUS ROADS IN FLAMSTEAD, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD, WILSTONE, BERKHAMSTED, POTTEN END, GREAT GADDESDEN, WATER END, TRING, TRINGFORD, GUBBLECOTE, LONG MARSTON, PUTTENHAM AND ASTROPE) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-
1. that length of Hollybush Lane, Flamstead from its northernmost junction with A5183 Dunstable Road north eastwards to its junction with Old Watling Street, a distance of approximately 74m.
An alternative route will be via A5183 Dunstable Road and Old Watling Street.
2. that length of Upper Bourne End Lane, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with the Stoney Lane roundabout north eastwards for a distance of approximately 299m.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
3. that length of Chad Lane/C156 (unnamed road), Flamstead from its junction with Old Watling Street north eastwards, north westwards and north eastwards to its junction with Pepsal End Lane, a distance of approximately 1842m.
An alternative route will be via Old Watling Street, A5183 London Road/Dunstable Road), B4540 Luton Road/Markyate Road), Front Street and Pepsal End Lane.
4. that length of Tring Road, Wilstone from a point 49m south east of its junction with Hornbeam Lane north westwards and north eastwards for a distance of approximately 257m.
An alternative route will be via Tring Road, B489 Lower Icknield Way, Wingrave Road and Tring Road.
5. that length of Tring Road, Wilstone from its junction with B489 Lower Icknield Way north westwards to its junction with Chapel End Lane, a distance of approximately 317m.
An alternative route will be via B489 Lower Icknield Way, Wingrave Road and Tring Road.
6. that length of Brownlow Road, Berkhamsted from its junction with Castle Hill north eastwards to its junction with New Road, a distance of approximately 315m.
An alternative route will be via Brownlow Road, Whitehill and New Road.
7. that length of New Road, Berkhamsted from its junction with Brownlow Road north eastwards for a distance of approximately 875m.
An alternative route will be via Brownlow Road, Whitehill, Gravel Path, The Common and New Road.
8. that length of Water End Road, Potten End/Potten End Hill, Great Gaddesden from its junction with Hollybush Close north eastwards to its junction with B440 Leighton Buzzard Road, a distance of approximately 1629m.
An alternative route will be via Water End Road, The Green, Hempstead Lane, Berkhamsted Road, Boxted Road, Galley Hill and B440 Leighton Buzzard Road.
9. that length of Pancake Lane, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with A4147 Leverstock Green Road north eastwards to its junction with Westwick Row, a distance of approximately 509m.
An alternative route will be via A4147 Leverstock Green Road, Green Lane and Westwick Row.
10. that length of Garden Field Lane, Berkhamsted from its junction with A4251 London Road south westwards for a distance of approximately 113m.
There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.
11. that length of B440 Leighton Buzzard Road, Water End from its junction with Pipers Hill south eastwards, south westwards and south eastwards to its junction with Nettleden Road, a distance of approximately 1212m.
An alternative route will be via B440 (Dagnall Road/Hemel Hempstead Road/Main Road South), B4506 (Ringshall Road/New Road), A4251 (High Street/Gossoms End/High Street/London Road), A41 (unnamed road/Two Waters Way), A414 (Two Waters Way/ Two Waters Road), A4146 Leighton Buzzard Road) and B440 Leighton Buzzard Road.
12. that length of Clements End Road, Great Gaddesden from its junction with West Dene north westwards, south westwards and north westwards for a distance of approximately 913m.
An alternative route will be via Clements End Road, South Dene, Gaddesden Row, Red Lion Lane, B440 (Leighton Buzzard Road/ Dagnall Road) Pedley Hill and Clements End Road.
13. that length of Water End Road, Potten End from its junction with Nettleden with Potten End Public Footpath No.031 north eastwards to its junction with Great Gaddesden Public Footpath No.062, a distance of approximately 628m.
An alternative route will be via Water End Road, The Common, Gravel Path, Ravens Lane, A4251 (High Street/London Road), A41 (unnamed road/Two Waters Way), A414 (Two Waters Way/Two Waters Road), A4146 Leighton Buzzard Road, B440 (Leighton Buzzard Road/Dagnall Road), Potten End Hill and Water End Road.
14. that length of Tringford Road, Tring from its junction with the B489 Lower Icknield Way/Wingrave Road roundabout south eastwards to its junction with Wiggles Lane, a distance of approximately 289m.
An alternative route will be via B489 (Lower Icknield Way/Marsworth Road/High Street), B488 (Church Road/unnamed road/Upper Icknield Way/Bulbourne Road) and Tringford Road.
15. that length of Wingrave Road, Tringford/Gubblecote from its junction with the B489 Lower Icknield Way/Tringford Road roundabout north westwards to its junction with Tring Road, a distance of approximately 1232m.
An alternative route will be via B489 Lower Icknield Way, A41 (Aston Clinton Road/Tring Road), A4157 (Oakfield Road/Douglas Road), A418 (Aylesbury Road/unnamed road), Winslow Road, Dark Lane, Tring Road, Station Road, Tring Road and Wingrave Road.
16. that length of Tring Road, Gubblecote from its junction with Wingrave Road north westwards for a distance of approximately 288m.
An alternative route will be via Wingrave Road, B489 Lower Icknield Way, A41 (Aston Clinton Road/Tring Road), A4157 (Oakfield Road/ Douglas Road), A418 (Aylesbury Road/ unnamed road), Winslow Road, Dark Lane, Tring Road, Station Road and Tring Road.
17. that length of Astrope Lane, Long Marston from its junction with Tring Road south westwards for a distance of approximately 424m.
An alternative route will be via Tring Road, Wingrave Road, Tring Road, Watery Lane and Astrope Lane.
18. that length of Astrope Lane, Puttenham/Astrope from its junction with Broad Highway north eastwards, south eastwards, north eastwards, south eastwards and north eastwards to its junction with Watery Lane, a distance of approximately 1115m.
An alternative route will be via Broad Highway, Puttenham Road, B489 Lower Icknield Way, Tring Road and Watery Lane.
The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 9 September 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF WESTWICK ROW, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD/LEVERSTOCK GREEN) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Westwick Row, Hemel Hempstead/Leverstock Green from its junction with Pancake Lane south eastwards and south westwards to its junction with A4147 Hemel Hempstead Road, a distance of approximately 1223m (“the Road”).
An alternative route will be via Pancake Lane and A4147 (Leverstock Green Road/Hemel Hempstead Road.
The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 9 September 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF MONTGOMERY AVENUE, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of
Montgomery Avenue, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Tenzing Road clockwise for a distance of approximately 212m (“the Road”), except for access.
An alternative route will be via Montgomery Avenue. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.
The Order has been made and shall come into force on 9 September 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

THE HERTFORDSHIRE (WINIFRED ROAD, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) (RESTRICTION OF WAITING) (EXPERIMENTAL) ORDER 2024
THE HERTFORDSHIRE (WINIFRED ROAD AND STOREY STREET, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) (ONE WAY TRAFFIC) (EXPERIMENTAL) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council for the purpose of carrying out an experimental scheme of traffic control, has made Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (1984 Act), the effect of which will introduce experimental waiting restrictions and a one-way restriction in parts of Winifred Road and Storey Street, Hemel Hempstead as specified in the Schedules to this Notice.
The general purpose of the trial is to enable the Authority to ascertain and evaluate the effectiveness of new restrictions in improving the environment for users and making the streets safer. The Orders, which come into effect on Monday 23 September 2024, will remain in effect for a period of up to 18 months. Documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders may be viewed from 4 September 2024 during office hours at Main Reception, County Hall, Hertford, or online at www.hertfordshire.gov. uk/trafficorders by selecting Dacorum and looking at Ref: D01224. General enquiries relating to the Experimental Orders should be referred to the Highways Engineer concerned Mark Reynolds tel: 0300 123 4047 or mark.reynolds@hertfordshire.gov.uk. Hertfordshire County Council will monitor the effects of the experimental restrictions and may amend the experimental provisions, if considered necessary. The Hertfordshire County Council will be considering in due course whether the experimental provisions of this Order should be continued in force indefinitely. Any person may object to the making of the permanent Orders within a period of 6 months beginning with the date on which the experimental Orders come into force or, if the Orders are varied by another Order or modified pursuant to section 10(2) of the 1984 Act, beginning with the date on which the variation or modification or the latest variation or modification comes into force. Objections or other representations should be made in writing to tro.team@ hertfordshire.gov.uk or TRO Services Team, Postal Point (CHO242), County Hall, Pegs Lane, Hertford, SG13 8DN by 23 March 2025 stating the grounds on which they are made. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Orders, or any of their provisions, on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the 1984 Act, or that any requirement of the 1984 Act or any Instrument made under it has not been complied with may, within 6 weeks from the date of this Notice, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
SCHEDULE 1: No waiting at any time – those sections of road listed below and as set out in the Order and scheme plan – parts of Winifred Road, the north-western end near the junction with Featherbed Lane.
SCHEDULE 2: One-way traffic south-east and north-east bound – those sections of roads listed below and as set out in the Order and scheme plan – Winifred Road and Storey Street. Consulting on this scheme is a statutory duty of the County Council. Any personal data you provide in responding to this Notice will be treated as confidential but will be shared with HCC Officers; County Councillors and contracted third parties who are involved in the statutory process.
