What is happening?

Mae Cyngor Bwrdeistref Sirol Wrecsam wedi gwneud GORCHYMYN (GWAHARDD TRAFFIG DRWODD) DROS DRO o dan Adran 14{1) Deddl Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984 a fydd yn weithredol o 2 Medi 2024 yn gwahardd unrhyw gerbyd rhag defnyddio'r rhan honno o Ffordd Croesnewydd, Wrecsam o bwynt sydd 80m i gyfeiriad y gogledd-orllewin o'i chyffordd a Ffordd Dolydd i gyfeiriad y gogledd orllewin i'w chyffordd gyda'r gylchfan gyda L6n Rhyd Broughton am bellter o 534m i alluogi Wales and West Utilities i osod prif bibell nwy newydd yn lle'r un bresennol yn y briffordd.

Caiff traffig deithio i gyfeiriad y de ddwyrain, yn unol a'r system unffordd drosdro.

Bydd y ffordd amgen ar gyfer cerbydau a effeithir gan gau'r ffordd ar hyd y Ffordd Ddyfrllyd, yr A5125 Ffordd Bradle, yr A541 y Ffordd Ganol, yr A541 Ffordd Yr Wyddgrug a'r B5101 Ffordd y Bers a Lon Rhyd Broughton, lie bydd arwyddion i ddangos hyn. Bydd y ffordd ar agor i gerddwyr drwy gydolycyfnod cau.

Mae disgwyl i'r gwaharddiad bara am 6 wythnos, neu lai os bydd y gwaitti wedi'i gwblhau'n gynt, ond dim mwy na 18 mis.

Wrexham County Borough Council has made a TEMPORARY (PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 effective from 2nd September 2024 prohibiting any vehicle from using that length of Croesnewydd Road, Wrexham from a point 80m north-west of its junction with Dolydd Road, in a north westerly direction to its junction with the roundabout with Rhyd Broughton Lane for a distance of 534m to enable Wales and West Utilities to replace the gas mains in the carriageway.

Traffic is permitted to travel in a south-easterly direction, in line with the temporary one-way system.

The alternative route for vehicles affected by the closure is via Watery Road, A5152 Bradley Road, A541 Central Road, A541 Mold Road, B5101 Berse Road and Rhyd Broughton Lane, which will be signposted accordingly. Pedestrian i will be maintained throughout the period of closure.

The prohibition is expected to last for 8 weeks, or until completion of the works if earlier, with a maximum duration of 18 months.
