What is happening?

LONDON BOROUGH OF EALING

Prohibition of Access “Saturday Market Days” - Churchfield Road, Acton.
The Ealing (Prescribed Routes) (No. 187) Traffic Order 2024.

1. The London Borough of Ealing hereby gives Notice that they made the above-titled Order under section 6 and 124 the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

2. The general effect of the proposed Order would be to prohibit motor vehicles from accessing the Churchfield Road (from Alfred Road to Burlington Gardens) between the hours of 0700-1800 hours on certain Saturdays, to accommodate on Saturday “market days”. “Market days” will be 14 September 2024 and 14 December 2024 (only).

3. The made Order, which will come into operation on 14 September 2024, and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order including plans, are available by e-mail from ‘trafficnotices@ealing.gov.uk’ or for inspection at Customer Services Reception, Perceval House, 14-16 Uxbridge Road W5 2HL between 9:00am and 4:45pm on Monday to Friday, until six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made.

4. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or any provision contained therein on the grounds that they are not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant regulations made thereunder have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make an application for the purpose to the High Court.
