THE M62 MOTORWAY (JUNCTIONS 6 - 5 WESTBOUND CARRIAGEWAY AND LINK ROAD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (Company No. 09346363) intends to make an Order on the M62 Motorway, in the Borough of Knowsley, in the County of Merseyside, to enable resurfacing works in connection with the local authority to be carried out in safety. The Order will ban all traffic from the following sections of the M62 Motorway:
i. the westbound carriageway, from the last point of the exit slip road at J6, to the first point of the entry slip at J5;
ii. the M62 westbound to M57 northbound link road.
The works are expected to take place overnight between 20:00 and 05:00, during a period starting on Monday 23 September 2024 and ending on Friday 4 October 2024. However, works may start and continue between the same times on subsequent nights or until completed.
Diversion routes via alternative junctions of the M62 Motorway, and local roads will be well signed.
The prohibitions will not apply to emergency services, works, traffic officer, or winter maintenance vehicles, and will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs. The Order comes into force on 22 September 2024 and has a maximum duration of eighteen months. For further information, contact sam.smith@highwaysengland.co.uk
