What is happening?

CAMBRIDGESHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE is given that Cambridgeshire County Council has made an Order pursuant to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which:

Church Road, Roman Bank and Gorefield Road, Leverington
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-814
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Church Road, Roman Bank and Gorefield Road, Leverington as lies between Ringers Lane and Church Road; Lindum Cottages and Caerhays Cottage; Salud and Milton Drive retrospectively. The alternative route for vehicles is via Parson Drove Lane – A1101 – B1169 and vice versa or via Ringers Lane – B1169 – Church Road and
vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway resurfacing and associated works which are being carried out on or near this
highway and it will come into operation on 2 September 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 1 March 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 08:00hrs and 17:00hrs 2 September to 30 September 2024.

Birch Grove, Elm (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1181
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Birch Grove, Elm as lies between numbers 3 and 11. The alternative route for vehicles is via Birch Grove – B1101 – Gosmoor Lane – Roseberry Road and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate electrical link box and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 4 September 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 3 March 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 08:00hrs and 18:00hrs 4 September to 6 September 2024.

Fallow Corner Drove, Manea (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1184
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Fallow Corner Drove, Manea as lies between Hilltop and Biggins House. The alternative route for vehicles is via Fallow Corner Drove – B1093 – Park Road – Straight Road and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water disconnection and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 11 September 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 10 March 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 08:00hrs and 13:00hrs 11 September 2024.

Station Street, Chatteris (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)
and (TEMPORARY REVOCATION OF ONE-WAY TRAFFIC ORDER) ORDER 2024-1185
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Station Street, Chatteris as lies between number 2b and Market Hill. During the period this Order remains in force The County of Cambridgeshire and Isle of Ely (Various Streets, Chatteris) (One-Way) Order 1967, Station Street (Unclassified) between its junction with
Railway Lane to its junction with Market Hill (A141) – Direction west to east is hereby suspended. The alternative route for vehicles is via Market Hill – Park Street – Station Road – Station Street and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate meter exchange and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 9 September 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 8 March 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 08:00hrs and 13:00hrs 9 September 2024.

Alexandra Road, Wisbech (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) and (TEMPORARY REVOCATION OF ONE-WAY TRAFFIC ORDER)
ORDER 2024-1186
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Alexandra Road, Wisbech as lies between Post Office Lane and Love Lane. During the period this Order remains in force Cambridgeshire County Council (Various Streets, Wisbech) (One-Way Traffic) Order 1984, Alexandra Road from its junction with Post Office Lane to its junction with South Brink (Direction: from south east to north west) is hereby suspended. The alternative route for vehicles is via B198 – Coalwharf Lane – Somers Road – Queens Road – Kings Road or via Kings Road – Queens Road – Somers Road – Coalwharf lane – B198 – Bridge
Street – Post Office Lane. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate meter upgrade and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 18 September 2024 and continue
until these works have finished or on the 17 March 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 08:00hrs and 13:00hrs 18 September 2024.

Whitemoor Road, March (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1196
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Whitemoor Road, March as lies between points 20m either side of the railway level crossing situated there as measured from its gates or barriers. The alternative route for vehicles is via Whitemoor Road, Middle Watch – Whittlesey Road and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate essential maintenance works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 11 October 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 10 April 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out overnight between 23:00hrs 11 October and 04:00hrs 14 October; 23:00hrs 18 October and 04:00hrs 21 October 2024.

Cants Drove, Murrow (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)
ORDER 2024-1202
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Cants Drove, Murrow as lies between The B1187 and Long Drove. The alternative route for vehicles is via B1187 – Mill Road – Long Drove and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water connection and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 16 September 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 15 March 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 16 September and 20 September 2024.

Poplar Close, March (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)
ORDER 2024-1229
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Poplar Close, March as lies between number 7 and the B1099. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate footway resurfacing, kerbing and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 9 September 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 8 March 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will
be carried out between 07:30hrs and 18:30hrs 9 September to 27 September 2024.

Flaggrass Hill Road, March (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1237
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Flaggrass Hill Road, March as lies between Flaggrass Hill Farm and the B1101. The alternative route for vehicles is via Flaggrass Hill – Creek Road – Estover Road – B1101 and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 3 October 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 2 April 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 09:30hrs and 15:30hrs 3 October 2024.

Churchill Road (A1101), Wisbech (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE)
ORDER 2024-1256
Is to stop any pedestrian from proceeding along Churchill Road (A1101), Wisbech as lies between rear of Napier Court and Norwich Road. The alternative route for pedestrians will be as signed. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 3 September 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 2 March 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 08:00hrs and 18:00hrs 3 September to 6 September 2024.

Station Road, Wisbech St Mary (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1293
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Station Road, Wisbech St Mary as lies between Appleby and Wingfield. The alternative route for vehicles is via B1166 – B1542 – A1101 – B1169 and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate electrical connection and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 6 September 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 5 March 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 6 September and 12 September 2024.

Gaul Road, March (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)
ORDER 2024-1295
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Gaul Road, March as lies between number 167 and York Lodge. The alternative route for vehicles is via A141 – Burrowmoor Road – Gaul Road and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water connection and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 16 September 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 15 March 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 16 September and 20 September 2024.

Norwood Road, March (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1301
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Norwood Road, March as lies between number 231 and Russell Avenue. The alternative route for vehicles is via Wisbech Road – A141 – Hostmoor Avenue – Melbourne Avenue – Hundread Road and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water connection and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 16 September 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 15 March 2026 whichever
is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 16 September and 20 September 2024.

Wimblington Road (B1093) and Newghant Drove, Manea
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1302
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Wimblington Road (B1093) and Newghant Drove, Manea as lies between Swan View and Wimblington Footpath 17. The alternative route for vehicles is via B1093 – B1098 – B1100 –
B1093 and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water connection and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 9 September 2024 and continue
until these works have finished or on the 8 March 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 9 September and 11 September 2024.

Ramsey Road (B1040), Pondersbridge and Herne Road (B1040),
Ramsey St Marys (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1306
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Ramsey Road (B1040), Pondersbridge and Herne Road (B1040), Ramsey St Marys as lies between numbers 282 and 712. The alternative route for vehicles is via B1040 – Great Whyte, Ramsey – B1096 – B1093 – A605 – B1040 and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway repairs and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 9 September 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 8 March 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 20:00hrs and 06:00hrs 9 September to 11 September 2024.

Redmoor Bank, Elm (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)
ORDER 2024-1309
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Redmoor Bank, Elm as lies between Greeves Farm and Belt Drove. The alternative route for vehicles is via Redmoor Lane (C31) – A47 – A1101 – B1101 – Redmoor Bank and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate meter upgrade and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 30 September 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 29 March 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 08:00hrs and 13:00hrs 30 September 2024.

High Street, Wisbech (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) And Market Place, Wisbech (TEMPORARY REVOCATION OF ONE-WAY TRAFFIC ORDER) ORDER 2024-1311
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along High Street, Wisbech as lies between York Row and Market Place (C22). During the period this Order remains in force the Cambridgeshire County Council (Market Place, Wisbech) (One-Way Traffic) Order 2015 is hereby suspended. The alternative route for vehicles is via Market Place (C22) – Church Terrace – Norfolk Street – Howletts Hill – West Street – Cannon Street – Queens Road – Kings Road – Alexandra Road – B198 – Bridge Street and vice versa. The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate manhole cover and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 23 September 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 22 March 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out
between 19:00hrs 23 September and 06:00hrs 24 September 2024. Access will be maintained to properties affected by these orders. The above orders shall not apply to any persons lawfully engaged in connection with any works for which these are made, any member of the Police Force, Fire and Rescue Service, Ambulance Service, a vehicle being used by Special Forces during the execution of their duties or to any person acting with the permission or upon the direction of a Police Officer in uniform.
