What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF TOMS LANE, KINGS LANGLEY) ORDER NO.3 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Toms Lane, Kings Langley from a point 120m north east of its junction with Primrose Hill north eastwards for a distance of approximately 35m ("the Road"), except for access. An alternative route will be via Toms Lane, Primrose Hill, Station Road, Gallows Hill, Gallows Hill Lane, High Street, Bedmond Road, High Street and Toms Lane.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 18 September 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BUCKS HILL, SARRATT) ORDER NO.2 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Bucks Hill, Sarratt from its junction with Sarratt Public Footpath No.006 south eastwards for a distance of approximately 100m ("the Road").

An alternative route will be via Bucks Hill, The Common, The Street, Dunny Lane, Poles Hill, The Green, Dimmocks Lane, Sarratt Road, Redhall Lane, Chandlers Lane, Toms Hill and Bucks Hill. The Order is needed because utility repair works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 19 September 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF CANTERBURY ROAD, BOREHAMWOOD) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Canterbury Road, Borehamwood from its junction with Eldon Avenue south westwards for a distance of approximately 43m ("the Road").

An alternative route will be via Eldon Avenue, Brook Road, Stratfield Road and Canterbury Road. The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 17 September 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE FOOTPATH SITUATED BETWEEN NO.36 AND NO.38 TOWNFIELD, RICKMANSWORTH) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the footpath situated between No.36 and No.38 Townfield, Rickmansworth from its junction with Townfield south eastwards to its junction with A412 Rectory Road, a distance of approximately 72m ("the Footpath").

An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the south and east sides of Townfield, the footway situated on the north east side of Nightingale Road, the footway situated on the north west side of A412 Uxbridge Road and the footway situated on the west side of A412 Rectory Road.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Footpath.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 20 September 2024 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Footpath.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BATCHWORTH LANE, NORTHWOOD) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Batchworth Lane, Northwood from its junction with A4125 Sandy Lane south westwards for a distance of approximately 116m ("the Road"), except for access. An alternative route will be via A4125 (Sandy Lane/Watford Road), Eastbury Avenue, Davenham Avenue and Batchworth Lane.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 19 September 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN COLDHARBOUR LANE, BUSHEY) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Coldharbour Lane, Bushey from its junction with Ryder Close north eastwards to its junction with Little Bushey Lane, a distance of approximately 635m ("the Road"), except for access. An alternative route will be via Coldharbour Lane, Herkomer Road, Melbourne Road, A411 (High Street/Sparrows Herne/Elstree Road) and Little Bushey Lane.

ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 16 September 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF GREAT GROVE, BUSHEY) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Great Grove, Bushey from its junction with Bournehall Avenue south eastwards to its junction with Fox Close, a distance of approximately 42m ("the Road"), except for access. An alternative route will be via Bournehall Avenue, Moatfield Road, Purlings Road and Great Grove. The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. The Order has been made and shall come into force on 1 September 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF COW LANE, WATFORD) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Cow Lane, Watford from its junction with A412 St Albans Road south eastwards and north eastwards for a distance of approximately 80m ("the Road"), except for access. There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. The Order has been made and shall come into force on 2 September 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BRIDGE ROAD/HUNTON BRIDGE HILL, HUNTON BRIDGE)

ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Bridge Road/Hunton Bridge Hill, Hunton Bridge from a point 240m north east of its junction with A41 Watford Road north eastwards for a distance of approximately 50m ("the length of Roads"), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Bridge Road, A41 (Watford Road/Hempstead Road/North Western Avenue/Gadeside), Aerodrome Way, Langley Lane, South Way and Hunton Bridge Hill. The Order is needed because bridge works are proposed to be executed near the length of Roads. The Order has been made and shall come into force on 2 September 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the length of Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN VARIOUS ROADS IN ABBOTS LANGLEY, BUSHEY AND BOREHAMWOOD) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads") and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-

1. that length of Bedmond Road, Abbots Langley from its junction with Love Lane north westwards for a distance of approximately 95m.

An alternative route will be via Bedmond Road, High Street, Gallows Hill Lane, Gallows Hill, Station Road, Primrose Hill Lane, Toms Lane, High Street and Bedmond Road.

2. that length of Bushey Mill Lane, Bushey from its junction with Mill Way north westwards to its junction with the access road leading to 'Bushey Hall Farm', a distance of approximately 112m.

An alternative route will be via Bushey Mill Lane, Park Avenue, Otterspool Way, Berry Grove Lane and Bushey Mill Lane.

3. that length of Theobald Street, Borehamwood from its junction with Anthony Road north westwards for a distance of approximately 60m.

An alternative route will be via Theobald Street, Gateshead Road, Leeming Road, Aycliffe Road and Theobald Street.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads. The Order has been made and shall come into force on 2 September 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BOWRING GREEN, SOUTH OXHEY) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Bowring Green, South Oxhey from its westernmost junction with B4542 Prestwick Road south westwards for a distance of approximately 74m ("the Road"), except for access.

An alternative route will be via B4542 Prestwick Road and Bowing Green. The Order is needed because tree removal works are proposed to be executed near the Road. The Order has been made and shall come into force on 2 September 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT MEASURES ON JUDGE STREET, WATFORD) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect on the following lengths of road ("the lengths of Road") will be:-

1. To prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Judge Street, Watford from a point 54 metres south east of its junction with Leavesden Road south eastwards for a distance of approximately 30m.

To prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Judge Street, Watford from a point 54 metres south east of its junction with Leavesden Road south eastwards for a distance of approximately 30m.

An alternative route will be via Judge Street, Leavesden Road, Lowestoft Road and A412 St Albans Road or via Judge Street, A412 St Albans Road, Leavesden Road and Judge Street.

2. The existing one way traffic system on Judge Street, Watford from its junction with Leavesden Road south eastwards to its junction with A412 St Albans Road, a distance of approximately 428m will be temporarily suspended to enable all vehicles to travel in both directions within this length of road, whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because electrical connection service works are proposed to be executed near the lengths of Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 2 September 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the lengths of Road.
