SOUTH TYNESIDE COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 16A (JARROW 10K) TEMPORARY EVENT TRAFFIC REGULATION NOTICE

Notice is hereby given that South Tyneside Council intends to make an Order under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the order is that between 06:00am & 12:00am on Sunday 6th October 2024 no person shall cause a vehicle (other than a vehicle being
used for emergency purposes or officiating in the event) to enter or wait in: -
1. Dene Terrace, for its entire length 2. The Crescent, for its entire length. 3. Laburnum Gardens for its entire length. 4. B1516 York Avenue, from its junction with Coupland Grove to its junction with Wood Terrace / Butchers Bridge Road 5. B1516 Bede Burn Road, from its junction with Wood
Terrace / Butchers Bridge Road to its junction with B1344 Park Road. 6. B1344 Park Road, from its junction
To turn left from: -
1. Coupland Grove onto B1516 York Avenue. 2. Prudhoe Grove onto B1516 York Avenue. 3. Thirlwell Grove onto B1516 York Avenue. 4. Duchess Crescent onto B1516 York Avenue. 5. The prohibitions shall only apply at such times and to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the display of traffic signs. The restrictions are necessary to facilitate the holding of a sporting event known as the Jarrow 10k run (“the Event) to enable members of public to watch the
Event, and to reduce the disruption to traffic likely to be caused by the Event.
